Amina pushed on the wall and gritted her teeth, she felt jittery, anxious. She closed her eyes and tried to follow her therapist’s advice, she took deep breaths, trying to imagine her happy place. She squeezed her eyes shut, forcing the image to appear but she couldn’t picture it. She let go and wrapped her arms around her stomach, shaking her head. Her pulse beat faster, the need to take something was like a needle piercing into her nerves.
