ONE MONTH LATER.
Amina stepped out of the hospital and smiled as the sun bathed her in its heat, it had been so long since she’d stood in the sun like this, it felt like forever. She closed her eyes and enjoyed the warmth on her face. The slam of a car door was heard but she didn’t open her eyes.
“Do you plan on staying under the sun forever?” came a deep voice and her eyes peeled open and she smiled. Hassan stood in front of her in a white shirt and jeans with his arms folded on his chest.
She rushed to him as best as she could with her swollen belly and hugged him, he wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her making her stomach flutter. She had missed him so much.
