Once upon a time there was this peasant. She was the first born her family had. Her family had nothing. So they thought if they left her at the palace door they would raise her. They didn’t expect them to treat her like a princess. On her sixteenth birthday the King and Queen told her the truth.
“Sweet Anabell we have to tell you something. You are sixteen now so hear it goes. You aren’t really our daughter. When you were a baby someone put you on our door step. When we took one look at you we fell in love with you. So we thought we would wait until you were older to tell you,” they said.
“So I’m not a real princess. How can this be,” Anabell asked.
“You will always be a princess no matter what. You are our daughter we raised you,” the King said.
“So even though I wasn’t born into the family I am the princess,” Anabell said.
“Yes. Of course your the princess. Your the only princess that could be,” replied the Queen.
“But I don’t feel like a princess anymore. When I thought you were my parents I felt like a princess. Now that I know I can’t be a princess,” Anabell said.
“If we find you real parents can you be a princess then,” the King asked.
Anabell thought for a moment and then said “Yes.”
So for months the King and Queen looked for Anabell’s real parents with no luck. So they started to look in the village. Then after a week they found them. But not alive. They died three weeks after they gave away their daughter. Anabell was sad to find her parents dead. But she continued with her lessons.
Two years later she became queen. She ruled for a very long time. She even had two kids. Both girls and both twins. She gave them the crown on her death bed.
