chapter nine

~MYRA

The week passed like a breeze,I didn't see Rhys,why will I see him after promising him to stay out of his way for a week,I missed seeing his face,his glare and his scent.

Walking inside the lecture hall, everyone was already present,I was late today,blame it on my alarm and Riley who slept like a log,Rhys was already in class,he looked handsome as always.

I sat down close to Ethan who was busy with his phone.

"Who are you texting dumb ass"i said snatching his phone from him and he jolted up just take it from me.

"Someone, now give me phone"he said and I rolled my eyes at him dramatically before scrolling his phone,he was chatting with girlfriend.

"Didn't know young Ethan has a girlfriend"I said teasing him and he covered his face as everyone turned his gaze at him.

He snatched his phone back from me after smacking my hand.

"Ow"I said dramatically and he rolled his eyes.

Our professor came in and everyone settled down, everyone started submitting their project and I went to meet Rhys plasting a huge smile on my face.

"Hi"I said and he turned glaring at me,wow that's a good start.

"It's nice seeing your face after a long time"I said and he continued to glare at me.

"It's bad to see your face after a long time"he said in a chilling voice,his voice really does things to me.

We submitted our project and he grabbed his bag rushing out of the class and I followed him.

"Hey wait for me"I said

"Did I asked you to follow me"he said stopping and turning to me.

"I made something that I wanted to give you"I said nervously as he refused to softened his gaze.

"I don't need anything from you ,why don't you get that ,I don't want anything to do with you"he spatted gritting his teeth and the people passing shifted their attention to me.

He glared at me before leaving.

"You are such a desperate w***e don't you get that he doesn't want you,I mean how can he date someone as clueless as you ,you are not his type ,I am the example of his type"Miley said smiling cruelly at me before pushing me to the floor.

I landed on the floor with a thump sound,I held my bag closer before trying to stand up,she already left following Rhys.

I turned and walked out of the hall.

My head kept falling and my eyes kept blurring as I tried to steady myself,I have to complete this part or professor Tyler is going to recruit someone else.

"Are you okay"I heard Cassie voice and came back to reality smiling at her.

"Yeah I'm fine just a little tired"I said and she nodded.

"Won't you get some rest,you have dark cycles around your eyes"she said and I just smiled weakly

"I need to cover this part before they recruit us to the law firm"I said and she nodded.

"I am going to head home then"she said.

"Okay"

Suddenly I felt so overwhelmed by tiredness that I began to surrender to sleep but I hitted my head on someone's laptop which made me raise my head,I look up only to meet a pair of electric blue eyes that drew me in instantly.

Oh my gosh

This is Hayden,what is he doing here.

I wiped my eyes to make sure my eyes are seeing well.

"Riley"he said and my eyes widened at him,what the hell is he doing here,I couldn't help but glare at him as every moment we spent together came to my mind including the awful memories that I want to bury.

"Hayden"I said

"Never thought I will find you here"he said.

"Babe"we heard a sultry voice,who am I kidding the voice belongs to Dianne,I can't believe they are still together.

Something flashed in his eyes,maybe regret or guilt,I can't pinpoint it.

"Ohh Riley,I didn't think I will see you here"she said linking her arm with him and those feelings I buried came back.

My heart nearly broke as she pecked his cheek and I was left to see this,his eyes were still on me.

"Riley,you look like s**t"she said and I looked at my outfit,I knew I look like s**t because of the dark circles round my eyes but I don't need her to tell me.

I felt too tired to give her a reply so keep my shut.

"Diane"Hayden said his eyes still on me.

I started packing my books,I don't think I could be here with the both of them,I knew I will get angry at some point and become violent and the last thing I want right now is fighting over Hayden.

"Are you leaving"he asked.

"Yes,I am almost done"I said and stood up making my way to the door but he held me back.

"Riley,I want to speak with you"he said and I stared at where he held my wrist,I felt all feelings rushing through my blood,I jerked my hand away from him immediately.

"I don't have anything to discuss with you"I said before walking away.
