I decided to go talk to my mom since she's the only one besides grandma that would have answers.
'Mom, are you busy right now?' I link to her.
'no i don't have anything to do till noon' she links back.
Luckily it's only 6:30 a.m.
thanks a lot Mitch, i think to myself.
'Okay, I'll meet you in your office in 5.' i tell her
"Mitch, I'm going to be in a meeting with my mom, ok?" I tell him as I watch him put on his workout clothes. "Ugh you really do workout this early?" I ask him as i sit back down onto the bed.
"Yes. I do." He says with a small laugh, tying his shoes. "And I am going to go train for most of the morning before our Shifts tonight, so have fun." He says giving me a quick kiss on the cheek.
He pauses for a moment and looks into my eyes "I love you, Kiri."
I give him a kiss back "and i love you, Mitch."
I throw on a black sports bra and matching panties with a pair of green running shorts and a black tank top. I grab my training shoes since when i'm down talking with mom i'm going to get some training done today.
As I head down the stairs to Mom's office I run into the pack chef getting breakfast started. I asked him to bring breakfast to my mother's office for me and her.
Going to be a long talk, I say to myself reassuringly.
As I enter the office I am greeted with the familiar sight of mom sitting behind her cherry oak desk in her black leather chair. she always looks so pretty in the morning with her brown hair pulled back and her ocean blue eyes.
She looks up at me and smiles "hi honey! Did you have a good night last night? I heard about what happened with Kora, I'm proud of you for not ripping her head off." She says matter of factly. Before I can get a word in she keeps talking.
"I'm so happy for you and Mitch. I couldn't have picked a better mate for you Kiri. I hope it wasn't too bad for you last night. I know the first time is… difficult."
"OK. Mom. Breathe." I tell her blushing as i sit across from her in the big plushy blue chair.
"We can go over everything that happened last night later, but I have something really serious I need to ask you and I need you to tell me the full truth." I tell her putting my hands on the desk.
"Is grandma a Witch?" Is my first question because it's the easiest.
She looks directly at me "how do you know that?"
"I may have dream't about it…" I say , twirling my thumbs around.
She gets a look of confusion on her face and then shock.
"We need your grandmother here. Now" she says, reaching for the phone and punches in numbers.
"Hello? Mother?.. yes it's good to talk to you too" she says to grandma. I only get to see grandma once a year around the new years, it's so hard for her to travel from where she lives.
"Mom? I believe it's time. Yes Kiri had the dream. Last night. When can you get here?" I started listening closely after that last question but i can't hear my grandmother talking.
"In 2 hours? How? actually.... Never mind mom i'll make sure to have a space for you. Yes it'll be away from the pack house. Love you too." She hangs up the phone and sighs.
"Kiri i know you have a lot of questions about what's going on but i do not have all the answers."
she says with her hand rubbing her forehead.
"I have to go make sure the space for your grandmother is ready and so she can land safely so she can teach you." She gets up and calls Walt into the office.
"Walt, go tell the omegas responsible for my mom's area to get it ready. She'll be here soon." He looks at her with wide eyes.
"is it time?" He asks her looking over at me.
Why am I the only one not knowing what's going on right now?? I think to myself angrily
She shakes her head yes and he say "yes Alpha" and turns walking out.
She sits back down at her desk and stares at the phone for a few minutes before picking it up and pushing in some numbers.
"Hey, it's Luna. I know, I know, I never call." She says with a chuckle." You know why I can't though. Well it's time for you to come meet her. Yes, I know it's been a very long 18 years. Mom will be here in 2 hours. I'm not sure but my guess is flying. Okay see you when you get here." She hangs up the phone and glances at me. I'm shocked, confused and a little taken aback.
How many secrets has she been keeping from me?
"Ok Kiri, I see you're kind of in shock from all this so ill answer one question right now." She says point her finger on her desk.
I'm not sure what question to ask since I have so many. Who did you just talk to? How come Walt knows more about me than I do? What do you mean 'fly'? There's just too many questions. But i finally decided on the most important one.
Just as I'm about to ask my question, one of the omegas knocks on the door with our breakfast. Eggs, ham, sausage, toast with coffee is set in front of me and mom.
"Is there anything else you need Alpha?" She asks
"no, thank you, please close the door on your way out." My mother tells her.
"Yes Alpha" she says with a bow.
We eat out breakfast in silence and finally once we're done I look at my mom.
"Just one question." She says holding up her index finger.
"Am I the girl from the prophesy?" My voice shakes as I ask her.
Her Blue eyes looking deep into my silver ones, and single tear goes down her cheek before answering,
"Yes"
