I watched as Valerie rushed out of my office, a blush evident on her neck and face. I clenched my jaw fighting the urge to go after her, distance had done nothing to flicker out the feelings I had for her. She had a lot on her plate and the last thing she needed was me disturbing her and making me feel more uncomfortable than she already was.
