Angela hadn't expected Marcus to ask Kelsey to redesign the villa's soft furnishings.
She had the butler change the decor to erase Kelsey's presence, which had enraged Marcus so much that he fired the butler.
Her attempts to rectify the situation with renowned designers had all fallen short of Marcus's expectations.
In response to Angela's inquiry, Kelsey nonchalantly placed the design plans on the table. "Yes, it's me. When will Marcus be back?"
"He's working late. His return time is uncertain. But discussing it with me is just as effective, as this villa will eventually be ours to live in together," Angela remarked.
Angela picked up the design plans and sat on the sofa to review them.
The hall was quiet except for the sound of pages turning.
