Chapter 13
Poetic Justice (2)
The caller's voice snapped Clara back to the present. "Fine, we'll pay your price. But we want a meeting to discuss the details."
Clara smiled, her mind racing with possibilities. "I'll meet you at the Miguel Gallery tomorrow at 3 PM. Come prepared to make a deal."
The next day, Clara walked into the gallery, her head held high. The thieves-turned-collectors fidgeted, clearly out of their depth.
"Let's get down to business," Clara said, her voice firm. "I'll sell you my art, but I want a public apology, a donation to the Artistic Integrity Fund, and a guarantee that you'll never again exploit struggling artists."
The collectors exchanged uneasy glances but nodded in agreement. Clara handed them a contract, her terms clearly outlined.
As they signed, Clara felt a sense of triumph. Her art, her worth, and her name were finally respected.
Prospero Miguel appeared, a proud smile on his face. "Well done, Clara. You've truly earned your place in the art world."
Clara's journey had come full circle, from struggling artist to empowered creator. She knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, she would face them with courage, creativity, and a fierce determination to protect her art and her integrity.
