Chapter 2- Theodore White

1871 Words
We went to the room where the dance-floor and the bar were. We all got champagne to toast the happy couple, after which we all hit the dance-floor. After about 20 minutes of dancing in high heels and I was exhausted and needed something to drink. As I went to the bar and ordered Rosè on ice, someone tapped me on the shoulder. I turned to face them and that was the guy I saw earlier entering the place. From up close I could now see that he had light-brown hair and hazelnut colored eyes. His facial features also screamed greek god, just like the rest of his body. He leaned to my ear and said. — You look so beautiful that I couldn’t take my eyes off of you. Can we talk? I nodded and turned to take my drink. At the same time, he ordered a scotch on rocks. As the bartender gave him his drink he made me follow out of the room. I had already texted Kenna that a guy had asked me to get out of the room with him to go somewhere quiet, and so if I don’t text her again in 15 minutes to come looking for me. After all, there are so many handsome creeps, that you cannot identify from the first second. We found a corner with no one and sat at the table. — Can I start? — Well you were the one that wanted to talk, so? — My name is Theodore Edward White. I am new to the university. I will be starting next semester, I just wanted to know what it was like here. That’s why I came today. What’s your name? — Well I am Melissa Adams. I am a senior here. Welcome to our university. — Thank you. How old are you Melissa? — 21. You?—I said sipping my drink. — 24. — So what exactly are you going to study? And where are you from? — Well I will be studying master's degree in business administration. And I am from the UK. — Interesting.  — Well, tell me a little bit about yourself. — OK. So I was born here. I did study a semester abroad in London last spring. I major in business. But I am going to continue my studies in corporate law.  A few seconds later he continued. — Do you have a boyfriend? — No, actually. — Melissa, I want to be straight with you.— he said a minute later.— When I saw you, I thought that you were the most beautiful woman on earth. But after talking to you for a little bit, I can now say for sure that you are also intelligent and kind.— I blushed as he said all of this.— I have never had this type of feeling. I am extremely attracted to you, and I want us to be together. I want to know you better. Will you be my girl? I was speechless for a bit. Never in my life, I would think that a guy would tell me this just a few minutes after meeting me. But I had the same feeling like we belonged together, and so my dumb, always rational brain said the most irrational answer. — I want to be honest with you too. When I saw you, I had the urge to meet you, know you, and so my answer is yes. But one rule. If you have anything going on with another girl, you need to end it.  — I don’t, but it's good to know that you are possessive.— I chuckled at those words. I totally forgot to text Kenna again and I heard her calling for me in the hallways. — Melissa? A few seconds later, she found us. She was stomped to see me being ok. — Melissa. I thought something happened to you. Why did you leave the dance-floor? — Ummm. Well, I met someone. — She looked at Theodore with wide eyes.— This is Theodore White. He is new here. And this is Kenna, my best friend. — It’s nice to meet you, Theodore. Melissa, I need to talk to you privately for a second.— she said after starring for a second. — OK. Wait here I will be right back. — Sure. And it’s nice to meet you too, Kenna.— Kenna smiled back at him. We left the hallway and entered one of the rooms. — Are you out of your mind? Do you even know who he is? — Why are you whisper shouting at me? He said he is from the UK, studying business administration here from next semester. — He is Theodore freaking White. — Wait do you know him. — Everyone does. He is the heir to one of the wealthiest families in the world.— I looked at her puzzled— Sometimes I want to kill you. But ok. Where did you find him? — Actually, it was him, who found me and asked me to talk. He asked me to be his girl a few moments ago. — Are you kidding me right now? — No, why? — The White is known for having dates but never dating someone. — Well, even if this is all for a few dates, I am happy. And I cannot express this, but I feel the need to be around him, from the second I saw him. — Ok, Just promise me that if you want out, you will tell me and the girls. We will do everything you ask, ok? I just don’t want to see you get hurt. — Ok. You are the best. — I know I am. Now you are going to get him and I will see you two on the dance-floor.  — Sure. We left the room. She went back to the dance-floor, and I went to where Theo sat. — Well, that went well. — I guess she knew who I was, and you didn’t. — Yeah. — I like that you knew nothing about me. That made me feel like a normal person for once. Have you changed your mind? — No. Why would I? She told me that you are the heir of a very wealthy family, and that is all that she said. I would rather hear everything from you. And not the parts that I can find on the internet, but rather you, the real you. What do you like and dislike, your dreams and fears. Everything about you.  — I want the same. But one more thing. — Yes? And what is that? — I want to kiss you right now. — Then do it. He leaned over and kissed me passionately. The best kiss I had ever had.  — Let's go back to the dance-floor. I want to dance with my girl. As we entered the room, slow music started playing. He took my hand and went to the floor. We danced and I could feel everyone’s gazes at me, but I didn’t mind. — So, my friends are going to my place after this and I would like you to come too. I know we just met, and it’s too early for meeting my friends, but I would rather spend the night with you, than alone. — I would love that.   An hour of dancing later, we were all exhausted and were ready to get to my place, have a few drinks, and unwind. We got downstairs and into our cars. They all drove after me to my parents' house. I stopped at the gate. — Hey Greg. — Good evening, Miss Adams. — The cars coming after me, please let them in.  — Sure. Have a good time. — Thanks. I drove into the garage. Got out of the car, and went to the front door, and opened it. — Come on inside everyone. It’s freezing.  They all came in and went to the living room. Kenna had already told Cristal everything about me and Theo, but Aria knew nothing, so when I went to the kitchen to get some drinks, she followed me there. — So, how did Theodore White end up in your living room? — The long story or the short? — The short now, the longer one later. — He asked if we could talk at the bar. Then he told me he liked me and asked me to be his girl. — When did you two meet? — At the bar. Today. — Wait. Are you kidding me? — Nope. Just telling the truth. The worst part. I didn’t even know who he was. — Oh god.  — Yeah. — Can you go back and make sure no-one annoys him? — Sure. Don’t you need any help? — I am pretty sure, the moment you go back there he will excuse himself to come here.  — OK. A minute later a tall shadow was behind my back. He hugged me from behind.  — I just wanted to ask you a few questions. — Shoot.  — How many boyfriends have you had? — I have been on a few dates, but nothing serious. — So I am your first. — Yeah. — How comfortable are you with showing affection in front of people? — My family and yours, not really. Anyone else, no problem. Any more questions? — Not for now. — Great. Let’s go there.  He took one of the trays, and I took the other and we went to the living room.  — Drinks are served, everyone.  The guys were drinking scotch, while the girls were drinking some wine. I gave Theo a glass of scotch as he sat back on the couch. Then I got myself a glass of wine, added some ice, and sat next to him. He put his hand behind my back. I put my head on his shoulder. We all spent the night here, as we all were drunk. The rest of the night was mainly drinking, laughing, and having a great time. Theo and I were the last ones up. I saw my friends asleep hugging their significant others. We were on the couch, his hand hugging my waist, mine on his chest, with my head on his shoulder. I knew he was not asleep, but I loved the feeling, so I didn’t say a word. — I know you are not sleeping. I turned my head to face him. — I am not. I really enjoyed myself tonight. — I did too. But we do need to sleep because I want to take you out for a date tomorrow. — What date? — Well, I would like us to get some breakfast here, after which I will leave to my place to get changed, and come pick you up an hour later. I would like to get some coffee and talk, then maybe tour the city and get some lunch. Then go to the Christmas Market and have dinner, and maybe hot cocoa afterward walking in the city looking at the Christmas lights. — I would love that.— I kissed him, then put my head back on his shoulder and slowly drifted to sleep.
