The Escape

For the past year, Grayson’s relationship with Licious had included conversations after cuddle time. It had become painstakingly clear that they were just friends, borderline acquaintances. She was used to being f****d by strangers, he wasn’t sure why he thought he would be different. He stood at his locker staring into the darkness trying to mentally prepare himself to see her. Soon he finished changing, then kissed a picture of Reeza he kept in his locker. As he walked out into the club, the smell of incense and lewdness filled his nostrils. When he first started the club 3 years ago, the odor made him nauseous now it made him horny. His arrival at their room, made his length bounce in pants but the unlit solitude within made his heart pound hard. He read the note posted, ‘Come see me. Manager.’ [What's going on?] Grayson turned heel and walked quickly to the managers off. Without looking up, the manager said,”Licious has quit. Your uncle has been notified. You are relieved of your duties. But if you want to keep f*****g or bouncing ,you’re welcome to stay. Either way, I don’t give a shit.” The manager’s words hadn’t quite registered with Grayson. He stared at the man with his brows furrowed trying to make sure he heard him correctly. Once the silence became awkward, the manager looked up, “Did ya fuckin hear me? Is the leather keeping my voice outcha ears?” Grayson shook his head then quickly stood, “I’m leaving.” He really wanted to ask where she lived or did she get another job but the fact of the matter was he was only her coworker. Someone who she felt no need to confide in. Someone she didn’t think needed to know she was quitting. His anger swelled. He could feel his cheeks becoming flushed. The feeling of being used and thrown away clouded his mind. It was a silly feeling because his job was to allow her to use him then have him go away. “I should be used to this!” Grayson yelled into the locker room then flipped the sitting bench. He fell to his knees and let rejection pummel him until he cried. “why does this hurt so bad ?” He whispered to himself. “Did I love her? That can’t be. Reeza is my …..only love.” Grayson held his chest trying to catch his breath. He had never been so shaken before. He wanted to sit in the corner somewhere and cry. “What is wrong with me?” ——- Since Luke stopped having s*x with reeza he used the s*x club has an outlet. He had his eyes on a very specific prize, he had no need for another relationship. All he had to do now was wait to see if his dad would unknowingly give Levi the bait. As he exited the sauna room deep in his thoughts, he heard someone burst through the locker room doors. It was common for the occasional drunk to be having a temper tantrum. Before entering the locker room area, he heard a familiar voice. His words startled him as he listened intensely. His brother's utter breakdown was even more heart wrenching. “He can’t love that man. He needs to focus on Reeza!” Luke thought to himself. If Grayson ran off to be with Licious that would ruin the second part of his plan. He continued to listen to his brother crying on the locker room floor. This needed to be kept a secret. He was pretty sure Grayson didn’t know where Licious lived or he would’ve been on his way there. And she probably already left or he would’ve attempted to follow her or at least that’s what he would’ve done. Luke stepped back into the shower room. He would wait for Grayson to leave but he needed a back up plan just in case Licious showed back up. As the sound of crying dissipated and Luke’s skin harshly dried, Luke sat on the cold floor thinking about killing Licious. That would be the easiest backup plan but it may also include life in prison or even worse spark depression in his brother and father. “What do they see in that b***h?” He thought to himself. After Grayson exited the locker room and subsequently the club, he slowly made his way to the sitting area. He already knew all he needed to know about Licious. Being his father’s confidant and the previous manager of the club had its perks. ____ After Beck left the club, she paused and looked back. She had struggled with deciding to leave her contact info for Guyver. He was such a sweet guy but he was a part of that club and she was ready to never look back again. Taking a deep breath she headed towards her sports car. Her life had started to come together a while before she made the decision to leave the club but the need to be roughly f****d by strangers kept her in place. Turning thirty and not having a steady relationship or a job she could ‘write home about’ had also played a part in her abrupt decision. The wind tossed her long locs from side to side, whipping it across her eyes as she worked to focus on the proverbially unpaved road ahead of her. One wish she so desired to magically come true was that Felix would come back for her. He only needed to toss his wife and mafia lifestyle to the side, pick her up in his arms and say those magic words, “I’m sorry”. No part of her would say no. He was her hidden knight, everything she had was because of him. Everything she did in her life was to be close to him. The sentiment pulled a single tear from her eye. She wondered if her remembered all of laughs they had or how great the s*x was. He was the first man whose kiss gave her life. Her car, her large apartment, and her overflowing bank account were all signs of her continuing attachment to him. Day after day, she filled out applications that were for small businesses to large corporations. They smiled in her face, sometimes laughing at her casual jokes but she could see it in their eyes. They were trying to understand how she was really a man. One small business owner actually asked which restroom she preferred. Everyday was either a success or a complete and utter failure. It was all disheartening, watching her savings dwindling and no phone calls or leads. Lago should’ve been the perfect place to get the perfect job. What was even funnier to her was her main issue was that she could pass for a woman if she didn’t tell anyone she was transgender. She always felt compelled to make it known. While she didn’t see herself as different some people seemed overwhelmed with the idea of her not being what she seemed. In a blink of an eye, she was doing more crying than interviewing. More soul searching than eating. The TV and the ceiling had her attention. There were no friends to pick her up and place her back on her pedestal or to fix her crown. Three years and no one took a second breath to give her an entry level chance. And just like that she was going to look into fast food or waitressing. She was tired of being alone. As she searched the internet for entry level jobs that were not business related, her phone rang. “Good morning, May I speak with Mrs. Beck Vanderstein?” “This is her.” Beck said suspiciously. “I work with H.A.I industries and your resume has been chosen as a candidate for the Senior Business Administration Lead position. Are you available?” Beck stood up. This was the opportunity of a lifetime. “Yes! Yes I am. Thank you!” While she took the interview, she knew in her heart she had not applied but she wasn’t going to question it. After three interviews, she was confident she was in the door. She wished she would have gotten the opportunity before the CEO and mega genius , Levi Hindrickson, had died. She would have loved to meet him. Just when she was about to give up on life, another gift was bestowed upon her. Weeks later, she stood in the mirror checking her hair and clothes. The smile that the interviewer had put on her face had not relaxed for a moment. Today was the day she would meet the Vice President and Levi’s previous right hand, Lana Stacey. She rushed to the building but worked hard to conceal her excitement. After being shown around her space and meeting her new coworkers, her escort told her it was time. Using the mirror in the elevator she prepared herself to meet one of her bosses. The moment her boss looked up, Beck’s heart fluttered. The room was void of all sound except for her voice. Her gray eyes sparkled alongside her beautiful smile. [I wonder if I could be enough man for her?]
