CHAPTER 24 ELLIOT'S POV "Where are you going mommy." I asked hesitantly, afraid of her answer. "I'll be back, I promise my son." She kissed me on the forehead as she put Miles in my arms. He was so small, still sleeping. "Take care of your brother, protect him and he will be loyal to you Elliot." I cried from her words, still too young to understand what it meant. But somewhere deep down I knew she meant we were going to be alone. I ran into my mother's arms as I hugged her. She hugged me back but soon pushed me away while wiping my tears away. "I need to help your father, he needs me." Tears escaped me like a water fall as I mumbled an 'okay.' She caressed my cheek and kissed Miles on the forehead before she stood up to leave.
