CHAPTER 11
ELLA'S POV
"So, are you going to lay there sighing or are you going to tell me?" Lola said as she laid down next to me on the queen size bed.
"Tell you about what?" I murmured as I kept my eyes glued to the ceiling.
"I'm not an i***t, I've seen the way you ignored Miles just then." She replied, I just sighed with frustration. I didn't want to talk about, not now at least.
I thought the adventure would take my mind of it, but it just made it worse when Lola told me we were pranking the pack. Even though it was just her, while I was sulking in a corner.
"It's nothing important." I replied as I kept my gaze at the ceiling.
That's when Lola sat up and eyed me, or more like glared.
"Come on, it's me we are talking about here Ella. Not some stranger off the street." I then blew out a breath and looked at her, she was right.
"After school, Miles..." I started off but was soon cut off by Lola and her worrying questions.
"Did he hurt you? Did he do something stupid to you?" She then gasped as an idea came to her. "...did he touch you in your no no square..?" She whispered lowly as she looked concerned.
I couldn't help but laugh. She really was a dork.
"What? No. I mean he did nearly hit me, but I wouldn't consider it as a no no square."
"HE DID WHAT?!" She cut me off with an angry look as she shouted.
"That f*****g dog is going to get he's balls chopped off." She said evilly as she hopped of the bed and ran out of the room.
"Wait, Lola!" I shouted for her to come back as I hopped of the bed. "Come back."
But when I went into the hallway all I saw was her running down the hall like a mad man on a mission, while yelling curses. No doubt there about Miles.
I had to stop her before she did something stupid. And I mean real stupid, considering the fact she does stupid stuff all the time.
I started running down the hall trying to find any clue for where Miles was. That's when I heard he's voice in the kitchen.
"Miles!" I yelled in content, knowing my crazy best-friend wasn't around.
By the looks of it, Miles just broke a glass cup. He was getting ready to pick up the glass pieces but I grabbed he's forearm, starting to lead him to safety.
"What are you doing?" He asked surprised.
"Saving your balls." I said bluntly as I tried to look for sanctuary until Lola calmed down. I really shouldn't of agreed to tell her my problems. It always ends with someone getting hurt.
ELLIOT'S POV
I wanted to get a glass off water to clench my thirst, but something caught me off guard. Or someone I should say.
I saw Lola running around the pack house talking about cutting balls. To be honest I had no clue what was going on with this girl, she was a mystery. One day she could be sane, the next she could be tying up werewolves, and letting them dangle upside down from a tree. In all honesty, at first I was shocked but then proud. But after the complaints I had to act as the Alpha. But as Elliot, the kinda normal 23 year old, I was amazed by this girl.
"What are you doing?" I said sternly as I watched her in all her craziness.
She then snapped her head to my gaze and came running back to me.
She grabbed me by the collar and starting asking questions. Weird questions.
"Miles. Have you seen him.? Where's he's room? Does he have a place he goes to, to hangout at this time of night?"
I cut her off by ripping her hands off me. Her respect was shocking, but then again she wasn't a wolf, so she didn't care. Obviously.
I was going to answer her, but behind her I so Ella leading Miles away. I guess they're finally talking again, or trying to work it out.
"Yeah, I know where he is." I mean, I wasn't lying. I did know where he was. But I didn't tell her I would show her where he was.
"Can you show me?" She asked with excitement and mischief in her eyes.
"Sure." Okay, now I lied. "Right this way." I said as I was leading her away from Miles and Ella. Maybe if I put her in a goose chase she would calmed down eventually.
MILE'S POV
"Is there a reason we are hiding out here?" I asked as we stepped out on the roof hiding.
"Because Lola is running crazy inside, looking for you."
"Why would she be.." I then paused and thought about it, then realisation hit me. "Ohh."
Ella then scoffed and looked the other way, not wanting to see me.
"I mean it when I say I'm sorry, Ella." I replied gently.
"I don't care." She scoffed as she kept her gaze on the woods view in front of us.
"If you don't care then why did you help me, from crazy Lola?" I asked as I sat closer to Ella, who still wasn't looking at me.
She then looked at me with a tear strand falling from her eye, and rolling freely down her cheek.
"Ella." I whispered softly.
"You looked so evil." She said bluntly
I then pushed a few loose hair strands behind her ear. "That's because I am." I replied softly.
Ella then looked down at her shoes as she observed them, but her mind wasn't on her shoes. I could tell by the pain in her eyes.
She then lifted her head and gazed at me. "Are you going to hurt me?" She asked.
I swear her question hit me right in the chest like a silver dagger. Is that what she thought earlier today when I yelled, is that what she meant about me being like Tyson?
"I would never hurt you, Ella." I replied gently as I tried to hold back the hurt feeling of her thinking so lowly of me.
"What are you thinking?" I asked her.
She looked back at the scenery as she wiped the wet trail of tears from he eyes. She blew out a breath not moving her gaze, I couldn't help but admire her beauty in the moonlight. She really was beautiful.
And I was stupid to hurt her, to make her afraid of me.
"I think I should go to bed." She said absentmindedly as she got up and headed for the open window we went through.
She then looked back at me before going through the window fully.
"I was thinking we shouldn't be together." Was her final words as she went inside.
My heart sank, and my blood went cold, as numerous shivers went down my spine.
'Did Ella reject me? Did my mate reject me?' I thought as I sat there, too shocked to move.
