I could see the disappointment on my mate’s face as soon as I let the words come out of my mouth. Not that I had any choice to begin with. If it was in my hands I would have found some way through it. But I being the future alpha of the pack, it is my responsibility to Look after any danger lurking at the corner of my pack.
