Chapter 9The next morning, they walked quietly together toward the train station. Sandro carried one of Dominic’s bags for him, keeping it well above the water that still flooded the streets up to their ankles in places. As they waited for the train that would take Dominic back to Rome and to the airport, they discussed their plans to get together again. Dominic promised he would try to put in for another vacation as soon as he got back. It would take some time to firm up their plans, but both men promised they would do everything possible to be together again in a short time.
