A tourist had been hospitalized after testing positive. “Damn tourists,” groused Dominic. “Wish they would all go home.” “Yeah, except one,” laughed Sandro. “Well, I guess this is our new reality. We probably shouldn’t go out much.” They passed the afternoon watching an old movie, trying to take their mind off things. But when evening came, they couldn’t resist checking the news again online. It wasn’t good. Venice had four more cases. They began discussing plans for dealing with the crisis.
