The words appeared on the central security monitor.
For several seconds, nobody moved.
Sophie stared at the screen, her mind struggling to reconcile what she was seeing with what the security system was telling them.
Every camera feed across the property had gone black at exactly the same time. The doors had been locked down. The perimeter sensors remained active. No alarm had detected movement inside the house.
