Maximus didn’t bother knocking. With a powerful kick, the front door of the Adams home splintered at the hinges, the frame cracking loudly as the Alpha stormed in. With one swift tug of his hands, the rest of the damaged wood was torn away, exposing the darkened interior of the house. “What the hell, Alpha! What are you doing to my house?!” the older Mrs. Adams shrieked from the hallway, her face twisted in outrage. Maximus advanced with a deadly calm, his voice low and threatening. “Where is your daughter?” The woman backed up, bumping into the wall behind her. “Y-you had her k-killed!” She hissed, the words venomous and trembling. Maximus moved fast, gripping her throat in one large hand and pinning her firmly to the wall. “Where is Melissa?” He growled, his teeth clenched in fury.
