Dakota’s POV
This has been the best birthday by far, but the looming battle lays heavy on all our minds. We all have so much to fight for, and I know that each one of us will fight to win. After the early dinner, we all got dressed in the clothes that grandma Aroura had made for us, and headed outside.
There is a marquee set up, to make it look like the party is still going as scheduled. All the kids, elderly, and those that can’t fight are already in the bunker. We left extra guards at the entrance of the bunker as added security. The border patrol has also been doubled as a first line of defense. Shay and Maria lifted the protection spell placed on the border, because we needed them to enter where we could control the outcome.
