CHAPTER 2

NAKANGALUMBABA si Alexa sa balkonahe ng bahay nila. Wala siyang gana at iniisip niya ang cancelled wedding nila ng ex niya. Yes, Jaxon was her ex already. She didn’t expect na itutuloy ni Jaxon ang kasal. This time si Claire na ang bride. Ayaw ni Jaxon na masira ang reputasyon nito.

Actually, she already sent the gown, accessories and everything to Claire. Hindi naman niya pera ang nagastos sa mga ‘yon kundi pera ni Jaxon. So, it was okay to give everything back to the rightful owner. Yes, she’s generous. Note the sarcasm, please.

She sighed. Jaxon cared about his reputation so much.

She cancelled their wedding but Jaxon was quick to informed their guest that there was a mistake. Hindi raw dapat ang pangalan niya ang nakalagay sa invitation card kundi si Claire. The sudden changed of bride confused the guests but Jaxon immediately had the solution to calm the guest.

So, what if it was Claire? Her so-called best friend before now ex-best friend. She doesn’t care. She was the who dumped Jaxon, not the other way around. Ah, basta bahala ang mga ito sa buhay nila. They’re not together anymore. Kung anuman ang desisyon ni Jaxon sa buhay nito wala na siyang pakialam pa doon.

But it really hurts. The pain, it was still there.

“Alexa, lalabas lang ako saglit. May importante akong pupuntahan.” Paalam ni Alexander nang lagpasan niya si Alexa sa balkonahe.

Tumango lang si Alexa at hindi nagsalita.

Alexa heard her brother sighed. “Alexa, don’t stay here. Go out and have fun.”

“Saan naman ako pupunta?” Tanong ni Alexa.

“Hang out with your friends.”

Alexa snorted. “My friends?” She scoffed. “They are not my friends anymore, Kuya. They are siding Claire side now. Konting paawa effect lang sa kanila ni Claire naniwala naman agad sila at ako pa ang naging masama pero wala akong pakialam, Kuya.”

“So, what’s your plan?”

Alexa shrugged. “Balak kong sumama sa ‘yo sa US, kuya. Maybe, doon na rin ako maghanap ng trabaho.”

Tumango si Alexander. “That’s was a good plan.”

Nagkibit na lang ulit si Alexa.

Alexander patted his sister’s head before he left.

Habang nakatitig si Alexa sa kawalan at papagabi na rin, isang ideya ang pumasok sa isipan niya.

“Bakit kaya hindi ko subukan para maka-move on ako? Ayon naman ang sinabi ni Kuya na ginawa niya noong nag-move on siya sa ex niya. Effective kaya?” She asked herself.

Hindi alam ni Alexa kung ano ang sumapi sa kaniya. Basta na lang siyang umalis sa balkonahe, pumasok sa bahay at pumunta sa kaniyang kwarto. Nagpalit siya ng damit at nag-ayos ng sarili.

She looked at herself in the mirror and smiled.

“Alexa, maganda ka at kung magmahal ka man huwag mong ibigay ang lahat. Magtira ka sa sarili mo, okay? Lalaki lang siya. Hindi siya kawalan.” Kausap niya sa kaniyang sarili.

Alexa nodded at herself and get her bag. She picked up her car keys and left her room. Bumaba siya sa living room at nag-iwan ng note para sa Kuya niya. Sinabi niya sa note na lalabas siya pero hindi niya sinabi kung saan siya pupunta dahil baka magalit lang ang Kuya niya.

She locked the house and went to the garage. Sumakay siya sa kotse niya at pinaharurot ito patungo sa pub na dating pinuntahan nila noon ni Claire. Well, isang beses lang naman siyang pumunta roon noong inaya siya ni Claire. Hindi na nasundan dahil hindi naman siya ‘yong tipo ng babaeng mahilig mag-party. Actually, mas gusto pa niyang manatili sa bahay nila kaysa ang lumabas pero iba ngayon. Gusto niyang makalimot.

Alexa arrived at the pub exactly six in the evening.

She entered the pub. She took a deep breath and smiled to herself. Pubs is just like a bar, mostly it has a large selection of different kinds of beer, some wines, and cider.

Umupo si Alexa sa counter at nag-order. Wala naman siyang balak maglasing pero alam niyang kaya niyang kontrolin ang sarili niya. “One shot of apple cider, please.”

“Wait a bit, Ma’am.” Tugon ng bartender.

Tumango si Alexa.

Habang hinihintay niya ang order niya, tinignan niya ang cellphone niya. May chat ang kapatid niya. Sinasabi lang naman nito na mag-ingat siya.

Ngumiti lang si Alexa saka napailing. Hindi niya sinabi sa kapatid niya kung nasaan siya. Baka pagalitan siya nito na hindi naman malabong mangyari oras na nalaman nito kung nasaan siya sa mga oras na ‘yon.

“Here’s your apple cider, Ma’am. Enjoy.”

“Thank you.”

Sumimsim si Alexa ng apple cider. Napatango siya. “Sweet.” Komento niya.

Nagustuhan niya ang lasa kaya naman naubos niya ang isang shot at nag-oder pa siya ng isa pa. Tumingin siya sa mga tao sa paligid niya. May kaniya-kaniya ang mga itong mundo habang nag-uusap. She saw some minors but they were accompanied by some adults. They were in a pub anyway where minors are welcome but they should be accompanied by adults so that they will be allowed to enter the pub.

Nangangalahati na niya ang laman ng ikalawang baso nang makaramdam siya ng hilo.

“Drunk already?” A husky voice she heard beside her.

Tumingin si Alexa sa tabi niya at doon niya nakita ang isang hindi niya kilalang lalaki. Looking at the man, she couldn’t help but to stare at him. Though the light in the pub was dim but it was enough for her to see the man in front of her. He was handsome. Mas gwapo pa ito kaysa sa gago niyang ex.

Alexa looked away and didn’t talk with the stranger.

“I can tell that you’re not a heavy drinker. You’re drinking a cider. It only contains 5% alcohol content.” Sabi ng lalaki.

Alexa snorted. “It’s none of your business, Mister.”

The man chuckled. “Why are you drinking alone? Don’t you have friends to accompany you?” he asked. He stared at the woman’s face. She’s probably in her early twenties. Halata kasi sa mukha nito, eh. But she’s so beautiful.

Alexa scoffed when she heard the word ‘friend’. “Friend?” Umiling siya. “I have before. Wala na ngayon.”

“What happened?”

For some reason, Alexa wanted to tell her story to the man beside her. “Do you want to hear what happened?” Nangalumbaba si Alexa sa counter habang nakatingin sa lalaking nasa tabi niya.

“Okay. Tell me, I will listen to you.”

Sumimsim si Alexa ng cider bago nagsalita. “I have a fiancé…no,” umiling si Alexa, “no, ex- fiancé. Malapit na kaming ikasal pero nahuli ko sila ng best friend ko na gumagawa ng milagro. I love him but he’s not worth it.” Alexa chuckled. “Funny thing is…” Alexa chuckled. “He cheated because I couldn’t give him my… my… you know… virginity…” Alexa drinks her cider. “I cancelled the wedding but he changed the bride. But I don’t care.”

The man was just listening to Alexa. As if he was comforting her by listening.

“You…do you have a girlfriend?” Alexa asked.

The man shook his head. “I have a fiancée before but we broke up.”

Kumunot ang nuo ni Alexa. “Bakit? Don’t tell me you two broke up because you can’t satisfy her on the bed?”

Napaubo ang lalaki. “You’re so straightforward. Are you already drunk?” She stared at the woman. Alam niyang nagiging straightforward lang ang isang tao kapag lasing ito.

“I’m not drunk.” Umiling si Alexa saka inubos ang cider. Nag-order pa siya ng isa. “Come on, tell me. I already told you about my story and my bastard ex. Why can’t you tell me yours?”

The man sighed. “I love her but she chose her career over me. We are arrange marriage but I learned to love her but my love is not that deep. I think it’s not really love but it’s more attraction only. Maganda siya kaya siguro sa ganda niya lang ako na-attract. After we broke up, I just realized, I don’t really love her. It’s only an attraction.”

Alexa smiled. “What about me? Am I beautiful? Sinong mas maganda sa amin ng ex- fiancée mo?”

The man smiled. “You. You’re beautiful.” Umangat ang kamay niya at hinawakan ang pisngi ng babae. Hindi niya napigilan ang sarili na gawin ‘yon.

Alexa stared at the man when he touches her face. There are somewhat sparks that emitted when he touched her but she ignored it because she felt dizzy. She closed her eyes. “I felt dizzy.”

Ibinaba ng lalaki ang kamay nito saka nahilot ang sentido. What am I doing? This is considered s****l assault.

Nagmulat ng mata si Alexa. “Let me ask you one thing.”

“Hmm?” the man sipped his wine.

“If you ask your girlfriend’s virginity and she doesn’t want to give it to you yet, are you going to cheat to fulfill your needs?” Alexa asked, already drunk.

“No.”

Kumunot ang nuo ni Alexa. “Why?”

The man smiled. “Because if I love my girlfriend, I will respect her decision. Karapatan niya ‘yon dahil katawan niya ‘yon. At isa pa, hindi naman katawan ang habol ko sa isang babae.”

Ngumiti si Alexa. “Sana all.” Aniya. “Pero lahat naman yata ng lalaki sa mundo ay mga manloloko.”

“Don’t say that, Miss. May mga loyal pa rin.” Seryosong sambit ng lalaki.

“Sino?”

“Ako.”

Alexa tsked. “Mga manloloko kayo.”

Umiling ang lalaki. “Want to try?”

“Try what?” Alexa asked.

“Me.”

Kumunot ang nuo ni Alexa saka yumukyok siya sa counter dahil hindi niya kaya ang hilong nararamdaman niya. Remind her not to drink again.

“Miss?” The man called.

“What?”

“What’s your name?” He asked.

“A-alexa…” it was almost a whispered but the man heard it clearly.

“I’m Zacchaeus.”

Hindi na tumugon si Alexa.

“She’s drunk.” Ani Zacchaeus saka napailing. “She’s obviously not a heavy drinker.” He chuckled.

“Sir, nag-pass out na po yata si Ma’am.” Sabi ng Bartender.

“Mukha nga.” Sabi ni Zacchaeus.

He sighed. Binayaran na lang niya ang ininom ni Alexa at ang ininom niya.

Kinuha niya ang shoulder bag ni Alexa saka inilagay sa kaniyang balikat. Pinangko niya ito saka sila lumabas ng pub. Dinala niya si Alexa sa kotse niya. Maingat niya itong inilagay sa passenger seat at inilagay ang seatbelt nito.

When Alexa suddenly pulled his collar and kissed him on the lips.

Nabigla siya pero parang may tumulak sa kaniya na tugunin ang halik nito.

“Hmm…” Alexa moaned between their kisses making Zacchaeus turned on.

Naghiwalay ang labi nilang dalawa. Zacchaeus looked at Alexa.

Namumungay ang mga mata ng dalaga. “Zacchaeus…”

It was already affecting her. Zacchaeus thought.

He gulped and controlled himself. Isinara niya ang pinto ng passenger seat saka umikot patungo sa driver seat. Tumingin siya kay Alexa. Nanginginig ang dalaga kaya naman hinubad niya ang suot niyang blazer saka ipinatong sa katawan nito. Hindi sinasadyang napatingin siya sa labi nito.

Zacchaeus gulped again. So, tempting. He thought.

Mabilis niyang iniwas ang tingin niya. Bakit parang bigla yatang uminit ang paligid?

Zacchaeus started the car’s engine and drove his car towards his penthouse. Hindi niya alam kung saan ang bahay ni Alexa kaya papatulugin na lang niya ito sa penthouse niya.

Arriving at the penthouse, he gently put down Alexa on the bed. He removed her sandals and covered her with blanket. Umupo siya sa gilid ng kama. “Alexa, I was happy that you’re not going to marry that bastard. Now, I will have my chance…”

Hindi naituloy ni Zacchaeus ng gustong sabihin ng bigla na lang tanggalin ni Alexa ang kumot na nakapatong rito kaya lumantad tuloy ang hita nito. “So, hot…” she whispered.

“s**t!” Mabilis na tumalikod si Zacchaeus. “This is a big mistake. A big mistake.” Aniya sa sarili.

“So, hot…” Alexa murmured.

Nahilot ni Zacchaeus ang sentido. Humarap siya kay Alexa pero nakita niyang nakaupo na ito sa kama at nakatingin sa kaniya. Alexa smiled, she’s tipsy. If she’s really drunk, she should be asleep right now.

“Sleep here for tonight. Hindi ko alam ang bahay mo kaya dito ka na lang matulog.”

Alexia just smiled.

Kumunot ang nuo ni Zacchaeus. “Alexa?”

Alexa stared at Zacchaeus. Someone in her mind was telling her to make a move towards the handsome man in front of her. She’s not in a relationship anymore. She wanted to forget the pain, the heartbreak. Let’s do this!

Tumayo si Alexa at naglakad palapit kay Zacchaeus. When she’s in front of him, Alexa just suddenly encircled her arms around his neck and kissed him. “I want you…” Alexa whispered.

Zacchaeus is just a man and he suddenly felt hot. Tinugon niya ang halik ni Alexa. It’s not gentle but an aggressive one. Kinagat niya ang pang-ibabang labi ng dalaga saka siya unti-unting naglakad paabante patungo sa kama nang hindi pinuputol ang halikan nilang dalawa.

Nang maihiga ni Zacchaeus si Alexa sa kama, hinubad niya ang suot na damit saka pumatong kay Alexa. Hinalikan niya ang labi nito patungo sa leeg. He left a kiss mark on her neck.

Alexa moaned. She’s drunk and doesn’t know what she’s doing. She just felt hot and wanted to let it out.

Hinawakan ni Zacchaeus ang laylayan ng damit ni Alexa saka hinubad ang damit nito. He whispered to Alexa’s ear. “I’m sorry but I couldn’t control myself anymore. I’ve been waiting for this.”

Alexa arched her body.

Zacchaeus smiled and continued kissing Alexa’s body.

Alexa bit her lip seductively, making Zacchaeus to lose all the control that he had on himself. He placed passionate kisses all over face, her neck, her breasts, his hands slid lower down to her inviting cavity as Alexa moaned with pleasure.

Hindi na inisip ni Zacchaeus kung ano ang posibleng reaksiyon ni Alexa kinabukasan.

Alexa moaned loudly and wanted more of Zacchaeus touch. The sensation that tingling her. It felt good to her body. She wanted more.

Zacchaeus positioned himself, as he eagerly entered her. A tear slid down on Alexa’s cheek.

Zacchaeus wanted to wait until Alexa will get used of his size but he couldn’t control himself to move. They rode the waves of passion together, as one…

The room filled with their moans and groans.

Zacchaeus wasn’t gentle in owning Alexa, he was rough but even he was rough, they ended up making love for three rounds before Alexa passed out due to exhaustion.

Zacchaeus smiled as he stared at Alexa’s face. Hinawakan niya ang mukha ni Alexa saka hinaplos. “I’ll explain everything to you tomorrow. Don’t worry, I’ll be responsible for what happened. I promise.”

Hinalikan niya ito sa nuo. As he stared at Alexa’s face, he whispered, “I will make him pay for hurting my woman.”
