I finish setting up my niece's gauzy reading tent in the nursery. Noah went all out for everything Caylee has mentioned wanting in here. I smile taking in the room. The little bugs as they refer to them are going to know their parents love them. Noah squeezes my bicep. "You ok?" Sean and Liam stand next to him and I see Dad lingering too. The others have filed out now that we finished the room.
"As much as I can be. I don't know how to feel. I mean what did it do to you knowing Phoebe and Kiff weren't in some type of serious lockdown facility after what they did to Caylee? And to you, Noah?"
"It's a lingering fear. Continuous worry in your mind that won't go away even if you shove it to the back. You can't sit and let it take over you though. Then they win twice."
