“What are you doing here?” I couldn’t hide the irritation in my voice when I walked into my living room and saw Jessica sitting on the couch.
She rolled her eyes at me. “I came to pick Noah.”
It was just an excuse for her to come to the house. She knew damn well I was meant to drop him off at her house.
I didn’t want Jessica around me. She had already caused me a ton of problems. If it wasn’t because of her, I wouldn’t have been having a custody battle over Liam.
Valerie, Liam, and I would have been a happy family.
“Don’t come over without informing me anymore,” I said, my voice clipped. I knew she wouldn’t listen. I had warned her about it so many times. But she still showed up whenever she wanted.
