“Alexis is here,” Liam yelled as he knocked multiple times on my door. “Mama, open the door!”
I was breastfeeding Isla, so I couldn’t answer the door immediately. “I’ll come out in a few minutes,” I said loud enough for him to hear from the other end of the door.
“Why can’t you come outside now?” He asked, his voice laced with curiosity.
“I’m feeding your sister.”
“Okay, I’ll tell her.”
With that, he ran back downstairs.
I hadn’t seen Alexis in a while and I was excited when she told me she was in New York and wanted to stop by the house to see me and the kids.
After a few more minutes, I finished feeding the baby. Soon enough, we were both in the living room.
“Alexis, you look so good,” I said with a wide smile as I settled down on the couch
