I hated how I spoke to Valerie.
But I just couldn’t stop myself even if I tried.
I was angry. Angry at Jessica. Angry at the world. Angry at most of my thoughts.
Noah didn’t deserve what was happening to him.
Who was even his real father?
I let out a deep sigh as I made my way back to my room. I pulled out my phone from my pocket and dialed Jessica’s number.
The phone rang. Once. Twice. Thrice.
But she didn’t respond.
The call automatically went straight to voicemail.
A low frustrated groan escaped my lips. “Jessica, you have to call me back right now. Don’t play with me.” I sneered.
After that, I tossed the phone on the bed and made my way into the bathroom. I splashed water on my face and let out a deep exhale.
