“What is it?” Celeste raised a suspicious brow when she saw the uncomfortable shift in my expression.
I shook my head immediately and forced a fake smile. “Nothing,” I said as I shoved my phone back into my purse.
“Are you sure?” She raised a concerned brow.
“Yeah.” I nodded, trying to steady my voice. “It was just a text from the accountant.” I lied.
“You’re having money troubles when you live with a billionaire?”
I chuckled softly. “He’s the billionaire, not me.”
I spent a few more minutes with Celeste before leaving. I was meant to stay for a few more hours but after what I had seen on my phone, I knew I couldn’t stay for long or she would notice that I was hiding something from her.
