Nandini's pov

It was 7pm and we all were seated for the sangeet ceremony to start. That's when the love birds mukbhi came up. Oh yes we made a ship name for them. 

Mukti: hello I'm Mukti Malhotra. 

Abhi: and hi, I'm Abhimanyu Murthy your hosts for tonight. 

Let's begin from my side that's the bride's side. 

My cousins came up and danced on Radha from student of the year. 

Mukti: it was okay but my side is better. 

Then I saw Manik's cousins dancing on tu mere agal bagal hai. 

I saw Manik laughing seeing them.

After they finished I just wanted to hide my face somewhere. 

Then manik's chachi and chacha came up. 

Chachi: welcome to the family nandini so let's get you introduced to them. It will help you after marriage. 

Chacha: so let's first meet her father in law raj. 

Cabir came up and started acting like Raj uncle in suit telling everyone to do the work on time. Shouting at a small kid for running around in dirty clothes who I assumed it was manik as on his back it was written. 

Chachi: suno Nandini ab inse milo ji yeh hai tumhari sasu maji. 

Then navya came wearing a fashionable saree acting like she is in the office doing work and the next minute at home cooking and then again at the parlor getting manicure and pedicure. 

Nyonika aunty was just blushing seeing this and was about to hit navya for fun. 

Chachi: suno dhulan ab inse milo ji yeh hai tumhari chote dewar Ji. 

Soon Kabir came on the stage on stage acting like himself and then dancing with navya on vele. 

Chachi: suno dhulan ab inse milo ji yeh hai tumhari bade dewar ji. 

Kabir came dressed up like dhruv wearing a cap and Navya I'm like shocked she was dancing on some item song wearing clothes like Alia. 

Alia and dhruv were so embarrassed that they literally jumped on kavya to kill them.

It then was mukti's turn. Chachi said she was attached to manik a lot. 

Navya came and acted like she was bike racing with Kabir who was playing abhi and then punching a guy who was trying to flirt with her. 

Mukti laughed seeing it. 

Chachi: suno dhulan ab gor karo ji kyuki hai bari saiya ji ki. 

Then Kabir came dressed in a red blazer and black jeans with white shirt. Then he started dancing with my girl cousins flirting with them and the song ma ka ladla bigad gaya was played and Manik went up and hit Kabir on his head.

Next thing I know Manik was singing.

Everyone hooted and then the function ended. The next thing I knew I was dragged into a room. 

I looked up to find Manik. 

Manik: do you know how beautiful you look tonight. I can't take my eyes of you. I so want to kiss you. 

The answer I gave him shocked him only for seconds. 

Nandini: who stopped you. 

That's it. Our lips meet and I was set on fire. We kissed until we were breathless not wanting to part away. 

Then he again kissed me and then slid a ring in my finger still kissing me. 

I looked at the ring then him. 

Manik: it's a promise ring that I Manik Malhotra will cherish you for as long as we both shall live. . I know we are engaged but yeah. 

Nandini: Manik.... aap... I make a promise to that Manik and Nandini is for  forever and hamesha. 

Manik held me in his arms for a few minutes and with a kiss on the forehead let me go. Then we both left to our rooms dinner long forgotten. His kiss always did things to me his presence made me feel safe. I don’t know what the future holds for us but I know one thing for sure Manik will always be the one for me.
