Lily's POV. Alessio drives like a man possessed, one hand gripping the steering wheel, the other holding his phone to his ear. His voice is curt but steady as he speaks to Isabella. "Be ready when we get there. No arguments. Pack light. We're leaving in ten." A pause, a muffled voice on the other end. "I'm serious, Nonetta. This isn't up for debate." He ends the call and tosses the phone onto the console, jaw clenched tight. I sit beside him in silence, staring out of the window, though the world beyond is little more than a blur of headlights and shadows.
