I'm running to Leilah's infirmary now.
She's coming with me to the packhouse today, and later in the evening we'll have fun at Janet and Eclipse Moon's Beta Juan's engagement party. When I push open the doors, I see her lying in bed, her short brown hair like a fan around her head.
"Leilah, are we getting out of here today?".
She smiles at me, she seems to be doing much better now. Her skin is so clear and her smile lights up the room. The pregnancy seems to be doing her well.
"Please, Evelyn, I'm bummed here. With you in our room is much fun, we can talk for hours about all kinds of things. I just lie here staring at the ceiling”. We start packing, she is clearly looking forward to leaving.
