Chapter 14 Stacy started his new job three days later. He figured Lamar would notice if he suddenly wasn’t home in the evenings when his roommate called. Lamar worked the first half of the week, but he was the type to check up on Stacy every so often. Since Stacy had been working the end of the week and all weekend long, different shifts than Lamar thank God, he thought he could put in the same number of hours at Druck’s, just tell his friend he was at work, and leave it at that.
