Could there be any more perfect a Christmas scene? A room lit only by a crackling wood fire and multi-colored lights on the tree? Rex stretched out on the hearth rug and Barry snuggled between his cowboys under a wool blanket. A cheesy black and white Christmas movie played on the TV but no one was paying it much attention. Rex was asleep, Barry almost there, too. Jimmy and Jake were on their new tablet computers happily playing the virtual ranch game.
“This is f*****g amazing, Barry,” Jimmy said, advancing to the next level and calling out his score, happy that he was ahead of Jake.
“Knew you were a talented dude with computers, but this is f*****g awesome,” Jake said, looking up from his tablet.
