Jake knew he’d made the right decision in the hospital when David not only allowed himself to be scooped onto Jake’s lap but then proceeded to melt into the embrace with absolute trust. Their first time cuddling together went similarly: David snuggled right up and made a little noise of contentment which shot straight to all Jake’s protective instincts.
They were by all measures a good match and he genuinely liked David. When debating claiming the omega, Jake’s deciding factor was something simpler, namely that he didn’t think he could live with himself if he rejected David based on nothing more than vague fears.
