The big day

"happy Birthday to you happy birthday to you happy birthday dear sky Happy birthday to you"

I opened my eyes to find mum dad and Jess standing over me singing happy birthday to me i couldnt help but blush and do my stupidly big grin.

"thanks everyone i cant believe i am finally 18 and today i could find my mate"

"Sky lets go down and have some breakfast then come back up and get ready we only have an hlur and half to eat and get ourselves looking fabulous for our mates."

Jess said with her super excited squeal, with that we both ran down stairs to findy mum and dad had gone full out there were ballons everywhere and banners which said birthday girl on them and our kitchen counter was covered in food.

After stuffing our faces we went back upstairs and got fully glammed up I had no idea what today would bring and what would happen after we have shifted but o couldnt wait to find out.

RHYS'S POV

i woke up at the c***k of dawn this morning i just couldn't sleep, i managed to find out who lived in that house it was our pack doctors Lola and Luke and their daughter Sky and today she turned 18. Could she be my mate or could it have been that other girl she was with. The image of sky popped i to my head and i hope she was my mate and i couldnt wait to see what she looked like in wolf form. I made my self busy by helping my parents get everything ready and putting the finishing touches together before i knew it the time had come. I went outside and stood at the top of the steps to the pack house amd shifted into my wolf who was very large and was pitch black i did have a random white spot on my left ear. I look out over the lawn as seen all the single wolfs arrive, i couldnt smell my mate yet we still had 5 mins to go before the ceremony started thats when my beta mind linked me.

"what's with you this morning you had me looking through fills last night to do with that house over there for no reason care to explain please."

I responded with a Grunt

"i found my mate last night but she didn't acknowledge me which could only mean she wasnt 18 yet but thats not the only thing im not sure who she was as she was with another she wolf and the stood so close together that their sents mixed together, so im hoping she is the girl that lives in that house as she turns 18 today."

"wow dude i never thought i would hear those words come out of your mouth wait whats that amazing smell"

We both turned and sniffed the air

"my mate is here" i smiled at conner

"mine to" he replied we both looked at each other with shock.

SKY'S POV

We were finally ready and went out the back door and shifted into oir wolf forms my mum and dad both stood there beaming with pride and excitement that i could find my mate today. I mind linked them and told them i loved them and to wish us luck before we walked towards the pack house.

As we come around from the back of the house i could see the pack house with loads of wolf and there at the top of the steps to pack house i could see Rhys, his beta Connor and our Alpha and Luna all in their wolf form me and jess looked at each other a ran towards the house, once we got there an amazing smell of fresh cut grass and rain hit my nose who was it coming from, i looked over at jess and she two was sniffing the air i mind linked her.

"OMG jess i can smell my mate"

"i can to Sky but i cant see him any where, what does he scent smell like"

I lifted my nose a breathed in again before replying "like fresh cut grass and rain, what about you"

"he smells like watermelon and coffee" jess replied looking around We both turned our attention to the top of the steps where everyone was looking. At Rhys and Connor as they both sniffed the air and looked at each other then out to all of us wolfs.

"Jess could they be smelling us"

"omg i hope so lets wait and see" we looked at each then back to the top of the stairs. With that Alpha finn and luna Cammi arrived.

ALpha FINNS POV

"today is the day my luna lets hope our son is able to find himself a luna.

" I cant believe our son could potentially find his luna today, please moon goddess be kind and give him someone today"

Come on my love lets get the ceremony started as we walked outside to start i could see Rhys and Conner both sniffing the air and i didn't go unnoticed as all the she wolf present started wagging thier tails in hopes it was them they could smell. Not wanting to hold my son up much longer i mind link everyone present.

" good morning everyone thank you for coming today i hope that you will all be lucky in finding your mates, today is going to be a big day for you all so enjoy yourself. By the looks of it my son and your Future Alpha has caught the scent of your Future Luna, myself and Luna Cammi can't wait to meet you."

With that i closed the mind link and let out a howl for everyone to know that they could go and look for their mates.
