Chapter Fifteen

After being completely ditched by Klaus, when he was the one to chase me, I joined Caroline in the car, waiting for any information from the others. Elena called Caroline, while I got a text from Stefan. Rebekah let Elena go and Damon turned Abby, Bonnie's mom, into a vampire. This means all the originals are safe for now, because Esther has lost the ancestral link to the Bennet bloodline. I feel so sad for Bonnie, but at least her mother is still here for her.

Who knows if she'll decide to complete the transition or let herself die? Caroline leaves to help Bonnie while I go to retrieve Elena from the woods. I can't help but feel relieved knowing Klaus isn't dead at the end of all this. I really do despise myself for feeling that way. He has hurt everyone I care about, but I'm still drawn to him.

I went home, dreading being alone with my own thoughts. Unable to sleep after everything that occurred, I go downstairs, pouring myself a glass of bourbon and Dr Pepper, sitting on the couch trying to find something to watch. While flipping through different things and finishing off my drink, there is a knock at my front door. I find Klaus on the other side and let out a sigh of relief.

Allison: "Nik."

I throw my arms around him and pull him into a kiss.

Klaus: "If this is what I get to come back to, maybe I should get into trouble more often."

Allison: "Come in, you jerk."

I pull him into my house and as he shuts the door, I push him up against it, making out with him. He puts his hands on my hips and the next thing I know, everything fades to black.

I'm standing under the shower head, letting the hot water cascade over my body as I relax under the heat. I feel a cold breeze along my body before it disappears and a pair of arms embrace me. I hum as a pair of lips sensually kiss my shoulder.

Allison: “Mm, Nik…”

Klaus: “Yes, my love?”

Allison: “I thought you were going to the Grill.”

He trails one of his hands down my leg while the other holds my body flush against him. I can feel his manhood harden and ready for some fun against my rear.

Klaus: “I came back early. Thought you could use some company.”

He nibbles on my ear, making me moan.

Klaus: “You are just too sexy to resist.”

I wake up to find Klaus in my bed beside me with his bare chest on display. I quickly look down at my body to see I am wearing nothing but his shirt. I jump up to look for blood but don’t see any as I hear Klaus groaning while waking up.

Klaus: “Love, what are you doing?”

Allison: “Uh, just trying not to panic. Did we, you know…have s*x last night?”

Klaus: “Heh, no we didn’t. But you were desperately trying to get me into bed before you passed out. I did change your clothes for you.”

Allison: “Well, it’s going to be a while before I drink anything alcoholic again.”

He chuckles before I throw a pillow at his face, which he catches while I pick out my outfit for the day. As I am getting dressed, my phone starts ringing. I look to see Elena calling me. Mumbling, 'what now?' to myself as I reach for it, but before I can, Klaus grabs it.

Allison: "What the hell? Klaus, give me my phone."

Klaus: "Why should I?"

I can tell by the smug look on his face, he's just toying with me right now.

Allison: "Because it might be important."

I try to get it back, but he holds it just out-of-reach over my head.

Klaus: "Or you could stay out of all the drama."

Allison: "You know I won't allow the ones I care about to be in this entire mess, that is our lives, on their own."

Klaus: "But you could take a day off from it."

I put my hands on my hips, giving him a critical look.

Allison: "And how could I possibly take a day off? There are way too many things going on for that."

Klaus: "Well, I'm going out of town to look for my brother, Finn. You could come with me for a couple days."

Allison: "So you're giving me a choice this time?"

Klaus: "I promised, didn't I?"

Allison: "I don't know. With everything going on, I think they need me here."

He pulls me closer to him, holding my hand gently.

Klaus: "They can manage a couple days without you. You need a break. Just come with me. Please."

His eyes are pleading with me and I can't help but relent to him.

Allison: "Alright, I'll go with you. But only for three days at most."

He smiles, kissing my hand.

Klaus: "Thank you, Love. Shall I help you pack?"

Allison: "I can pack my own stuff."

Klaus: "But I'm faster."

Allison: "And you have no idea what I would want to wear."

Klaus: "Well, I packed for you last night after you passed out."

I cross my arms while giving him a look of disbelief as he grabs my small suitcase with a smug grin on his face.

Allison: "And what possessed you to do that before I even knew of this trip?"

Klaus: "Intuition. Let's go."

Allison: "Fine. I'll just let my mom and Caroline know I'm going out of town for a couple days."

I take my phone from him and send them a text before following Klaus to his car, and we leave town.

After two days of some pleasant road trip bonding with him, we got a lead on where his brother, Finn, is. Apparently, I am not allowed to go with him to get his brother, because according to Klaus, it's too dangerous for me. Instead, he gave me the car keys and told me to meet him in Mystic Falls. Once I arrived home, I found a familiar hunter green jeep in my driveway. I walk into my house to find Sam on my couch.

Allison: "Sam, what are you doing here?"

I hug him as soon as he stands up.

Sam: "Just waiting for you. I need all the details on your little excursion with the hybrid."

We sit on the couch together.

Allison: "There's not much to say. It was a bonding trip, but all we really did was get to know each other. Every time it got a little intimate, we would start leaning in and have almost kisses, he would pull away and say good night. We even had separate beds the whole trip."

Sam: "Maybe he's just trying to give you some space. He probably wants you to take the initiative."

Allison: "Do you think I should?"

Sam: "You could just talk to him. Find out what's going on. Definitely tell me what happens though."

I chuckle with him.

Allison: "I'll try to do that."

We drink some wine together while talking about his latest escapades. We have to stop because he got a call from another werewolf who apparently needs his help. After he leaves, I get a call from my sister.

C - Hey, Allison, we need your help with something. Are you busy?

A - Not at all. What's up?

C - Damon was kidnapped by Rebekah. Can you save him?

A - I'm not sure, but I can try. I'll be in touch.

I hang up and drive to Klaus' home. I just hope I'm not too late to save my friend.
