I almost collapsed when my consciousness teleports back to my own body, where it is still at the party, as if nothing has happened. I have watched it at the last minute as the seal covers itself around The Devil, disappearing into his pale blue skin as he stared at my escaping consciousness, slipping away from the contact. The illusionary room which I left becomes nothing but darkness, as if it was never there and never meant to be. But once I get back, I never felt so tired in my entire life. It is as if I just lost half of my life. The first thing I can see is Valline’s features. His small lips are moving slowly, making words that I try so hard to catch. I can feel his skin against me, warm and calming. I love the sensation, and it makes me want to snuggle deeper against his body as I close my eyes. I then recall that familiar feeling; the same as when I spent the night in his room after our wedding tattoos have been done. I want to embrace his body again.... and just stay like this for the rest of my sleep.... “─ene. Ars.... Arsene....” I can hear his voice calling my name softly, lovingly. Yet, I can sense the concern in his tone. It makes me want to force myself to wake up and find out what is bothering him. It is hard, but I have to. I have to struggle so hard, but I can get there. “....Valline....” I whisper his name as I open my eyes to stare into his brilliant blue ones. There is a wrinkle at his eyebrows, and I tried to learn what is concerning him. “What’s the matter?” “Finally, you’re awake! You passed out so suddenly, and it made me worry. I was so afraid that something bad might have happened to you. I could barely feel the pulse of your life energy. But good thing you have started to recover.” The sight of him can take my breath away. Despite looking so worried, he looks like an angel just dropped from the sky with his holy aura brightening around him. It makes me just wanting us to stay like this forever. “Really?” My voice sounds disbelief and kind of sore. He helps me stand back by holding my hand, letting me recline against his tall posture. My face places perfectly at the crack of his neckline, leaving an opening for me to kiss it. Valline shivers with excitement as I do that. “Don’t,” he protests, yet does not seem to be planning on letting me go. “The others are watching us.” “Then let them be,” I mutter, letting my lips graze against the skin of his neckline. The sensation tingles my lips. Valline chuckles with a soft echoing sound of bells. “We are supposed to let them know later this midnight, remember? What happened?” He sounds amused and no longer worried this time. “That’s okay. Let’s just break the news now.” I sound as if I were drunk by this point. “But everyone is looking at us, Arsene. Aren’t you worried about how they are going to take the news in?” “It’s okay.... If they do not like it, they can leave.” But one annoying voice has to ruin my mood by forcing himself to walk forward in front of the crowd which I notice is finally getting merrier. “What’s going on in here?” demands Marlyn Blancort with fury. I know just how angry she truly is just by looking at her. But for once in my life, feeling less care is a bliss for me. “Well, as you all can assume,” I answer that question not just for Marlyn, but also for the rest of the guests. I turn back to Valline and grab him by the collar, forcing his head down so that I can smack my lips into his and kiss him. Valline is surprised by my action at first, letting me graze my lips against him. But he soon recovers from his shock and kisses me back with the same amount of passion. I intentionally move a little bit deeper and make the kiss longer so that everyone that is present can see just how real this is. Then finally, after I think minutes have passed, I pull away. All I can see are just how swollen Valline’s lips are, before turning my eyes back to the spectators. “Valline and I are married.” They all break in surprise after hearing my words. For a Noirmelns and a Blancort to be united as one under the contract of something as sacred as marriage must be such a shock to their logic. “Congratulations, Marlyn. Now we are all official a family. But don’t let this news stop all of my guests from having so much fun. Go on. Continue the duel,” I say when I notice that Artro and Link are no longer in the arena. “Please, everyone. Continue what you were doing before. The party is still on. Artro, Link, I leave the rest to you,” I say before taking Valline’s hand in mine and pull him away from the crowd. “Wait, Arsene. Where are you taking me? I thought your birthday party 's still going to continue,” Valline asks. “Yes, but I am leaving it to my guards. I’m sure they will handle it. They have done excellent jobs at working together so far,” I answer as I lead us deeper into the castle, through the dark corridors that are only lit by the burning torches of black fire and head towards my chamber. Once I get there, I grab the handle and turn it. I pull Valline in before closing the door back and lock it with the most obvious sound of a clicking lock. Valline blinks twice at me, still looking at me with a bit surprised. It seems like sealing a certain evil being away has made me act a lot unexpectedly. I don’t even know that I would break the news so early at the party. But I don’t care. Valline is with me now. And that is what matters. With a smile on my face, I lunge at him with open arms in an attempt on hugging him while at the same time pushing him to my bed. I kiss his lips once more, carefully this time. But before I can control myself, my fingers are already removing his blazer, unbuttoning his shirt until they meet the surface of his skin. I travel my kiss down to his collarbone, making him groan with a sound I never heard. My lips lead down until they arrive at his tattoo ─ the symbol of ring that I had put on him before ─ before kissing it lovingly as well. “Arsene....” Valline growls at my name breathlessly. “If you continue, I won’t hold back anymore.” I know how serious his warning is, no matter how husky and sexy it sounds to my ears. “Then don’t. I want you to own me as much as I want to own you myself,” I whisper lustfully to him. I expose myself and even press myself closer to him just to prove how serious I am. He then reads my invitation and accepts it.
