He finds a young girl in the lake, asleep inside of a crystal. He takes out his notebook and a pencil and begin to sketch the girl, getting every detail possible. He's taken a picture of her in his mind. He begins to hear a voice singing soulfully. He follows this beautiful voice and finds a girl sitting on a tree, singing. She looks like the girl in the lake. The girls looks like she's apart of the tree. Her clothes are made of the colorful leaves of the tree. Her hair is a dark brown that's been merged to the tree. He stares at the beauty and with every word she sang, it stabbed his heart and his tears begin to fall. He walks up to the beauty and touches her foot. She stops singing and looks at the man. She blushes and pulls her feet off and travel up the tree. The man climbs the tree and follows her. He reachs to the top of the tree where she is hiding. She wipes his tears and while she did he noticed something cruel. Scars are left all over her body. He quickly pulls her into a hug. This surprises her but she couldn't do anything. She liked it, but the feeling of fear pushed him away. She runs to the tree and hides once again. He is not the first to have seen her. The first few tried to convince her to leave with them. They became closer as autumn ended. Winter came but no matter how freezing it is, he still visits her. He blushes as he sees her. The leaves on her body have fallen and what's left is her bare, pale body. She smiles and jumps off the tree and run as far as possible to him. He makes his way to her quickly and wrap his jacket around her. He begins to shiver from the cold. She notices and gives him back his jacket. She tells him she doesn't need it. Winter was long but loving. They warm each other up with one another's warmth. They satisfied each other's needs and then shared a kiss. Spring came and flowers have wrapped her bare body up. Her sweet smell seduced the man's heart. He's fallen for her more. As they fall deeper for each other, the girl's desire to break free from the tree became bigger. The man's desire to take her home grew. They both wanted each other but couldn't. He then asks her about her scars. She hesitated but told him everything. With each word she said, the crystal in the lake begin to crack. He was loving and caring at first but the moment he heard about the other men he became dark. Not because of jealously but because he knew the pain of rejection. The pain the men have brought upon her was ignored by the man and all he could hear was rejection. Rejection, yes, a word that has haunted him for years. He begins to pity the men who have been rejected and turn against her. They two argue. The man leaves. The girl hides in the tree. He stops showing up. The crystal in the lake thickens and the girl sleeping in it falls deeper into a dream. However, once in a while, the man would come to listen to her song at a distance where she can't see him, but she always could see his shadow from far away. More rumors about the forest begin to spread by the man. The forbidden forest truly is dangerous. It's strange how we fall in love so quickly but at the same time be broken down so fast. The strange part is how the pain lasts so long and lingers in our hearts.
