Chapter 11: Finding a Cure

They reached the Rusalka Village Magic School in no time. Master Louvre felt dizzy when he was put down. "H-hold on a minute." He tried to compose himself. He fixed his crumpled clothing and messy hair. He cleared his throat before speaking up. "Let's go now."
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
He walked ahead towards the dispensary, Soira followed the weird teacher. He was in his thirties, with a beard and mustache. He often acted silly but he was known for being helpful and kind.

"Devan is inside." He lowered his head and gestured to get in.

Soira went inside the dispensary and saw his son on the bed, still unconscious.

"How's my son?" she asked Nurse Avria. "Is he alright?"
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
"He is resting now, but he needs more rest because he almost drained his energy. I could barely feel his aura." The nurse touched the boy's forehead. "His temperature is back to normal now. He was freezing earlier, he himself couldn't determine if he was cold or hot. He lost his consciousness because of using too much power and that isn't a good sign."

"W-what should we do?" Soira sat on the bed beside Devan. "We do not have enough resources to make him trained and get better."

"The boy is gifted, probably he inherited it from your ancestors." Nurse Avria looked at her intently. "I won't ask about your roots, and where you came from, but let me remind you of this; do not expose this boy's power too much, he could be in danger from those people with evil intentions. Also, train him to control his power. Developing his physical strength, it will be his foundation to catch such enormous power."

"Don't let him use his power for a month. Not even a simple trick. Let him rest and cultivate to regain his strength. I will send a recommendation letter to the principal for him to take a leave from school for a month." She glanced at Master Louvre. "We will spread the rumors that it was Louvre who performed the magic earlier. That's the best thing that we can do for now."

"Yes, you." She rolled her eyes. "Don't risk this boy's safety. If you only monitored your class properly, there was no need for him to use his power. This boy is in danger. He will become the target of those with bad intentions."

"Okay, fine. It's all my fault." He raised both his hands as a sign of surrender. "I'll take full responsibility for it."

She shook her head. "She left the mountainous region and continued her journey. I'm not sure where to find her."
"W-what's her name?" Soira will find that master no matter what.

"She's Hara. She is a water mage. She is powerful enough to help and teach him well," Nurse Avria said. "I only saw her once while visiting my brother at the temple in the mountainous region. She was so beautiful in her orange hair."

"When and where was the last time she was seen?" she asked. "I need to find her."

"At the temple, but she already left. My brother is still there. You can visit and ask him, but it will take you five days to climb up there, and it's dangerous," she warned.

"You don't have to worry," Master Louvre said. "She can fly." He could still remember what happened earlier. He almost threw up because of dizziness.

"You can fly?" Nurse Avria opened her mouth wide, could not believe she found another powerful mage. "You're a wind mage. He inherited his magic from you, and perhaps his other powers are from his father."

"I use wind magic." She smiled awkwardly. She took Devan and carried him. "I will bring him home now. I can take care of him. Thank you for the information about the powerful water mage Hara. I will search for her soon." She bowed a little to the nurse and to Master Louvre to show gratitude before leaving.
