Chapter 21 Barely Escaped

The soldier arrived with Princess Aina. Soira saw the daughter of the traitors of the Maho Kingdom. She clenched her teeth and closed her fist to control herself.

"You called for me, Dwight." The princess glanced at Master Wolf. "Good afternoon."

Master Wolf walked slowly closer to Aina and placed his hand on her head. "Her power is unstable. If this continues, her health will be at risk." He glanced at Alec and nodded. "Send the princess to her room. I will talk to Royal Mage Dwight in the meantime."

"Yes, Master." Alec bowed before leaving. Princess Aina followed him.

"We will prepare meals for the soldiers. We will set up a temporary tent for tonight. Send them back home tomorrow morning," Master Wolf told Dwight.

"Thank you, Master." He bowed.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

"Let me tour you around." Master gestured his hand, leading the Royal Mage out of the main temple. He glanced at Soira's direction and tilted his head, telling her to leave at once. Master Wolf and Deight walked out of the temple.

Soira took the chance to escape. She quickly but carefully ran out of the temple, looked around before flying faster than usual, hoping the soldiers won't notice her.

She stopped in the air and looked back. "I will miss you, Devan. I will visit you from time to time and I will pick you up after your training." She sighed deeply before flying away.

She needed to head back to Rusalka Village and plan ahead. The true prince and the fake princess met. "This isn't good."

It took her an hour before arriving at Rusalka Village. Klei and Jerome were sitting outside of their house, waiting for her return. She landed on the ground near them.

Klei stood up upon seeing her. "Where's Devan? How is he doing?"

"He's okay. The temple will train him and their master is kind enough to keep his identity. I believe he's an ally." She patted Jerome's head. "I want you to train as well and be strong like your brother."

"Yes, mother, I will!" He nodded. "When will I see my brother again?"

"We will visit him next month. I will bring you there to see him," she said.

"Yes!" Jerome shouted. "Can I also train there?"

"No, I don't want my youngest to leave my sight. I will train you myself." She carried him. "Let's go inside. It's getting dark. I'll prepare delicious food for tonight."
