Chapter 10: Power Imbalance

"Nurse Avria, help!" Master Louvre shouted as he, Devan and Jerome entered the school's dispensary. The other kids waited outside.

"What happened to him?" She quickly checked Devan's pulse. "His pulse is normal. Put him to the bed so I could examine him."
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
Master Louvre placed him down on the dispensary bed. Nurse Avria used her power to move the curtain and cover them. "Just wait there until I finish checking him."

"Master, will he be okay?" Jerome asked.
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
"I hope so." He sighed.
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
"What did he do before he fainted?" Nurse Avria asked.
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
"He saved the world, and I am not kidding,"he replied.
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
"Was that explosion earlier came from your class?" the nurse asked again.
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
"One of the students brought gunpowder and exploded the room. Devan took it out by using water and wind power, then he returned everything back to normal. He healed the wounds of everyone who got hurt from the explosion."

"This poor kid did all of those?" Avria opened the curtain. "He was just exhausted for using so much magic. I mean powers. He's so young to use different powers at the same time, more so healed a lot of injuries of several people at the same time. He just needs some rest but you need to remind this young boy to stop saving the world. He's too young for that."

"I understand, Nurse Avria." He lowered his head. He was the teacher of the class but his student was the one who saved everyone.

"I need to talk to the parents of this kid. They need to be aware of what their kid can do, and how to develop his power without risking his health. He needs to grow up and develop physical strength before performing too much magic."

"I will fetch his parents now." He glanced at Jerome. "Stay with him for a while."

"Yes, Master."

Master Louvre rushed to Devan's house to fetch his parents. He used his magic of speed to get there in no time, but he was catching his breath when he stopped in front of Devan's house.

Soira was sweeping the dried leaves when he arrived. "Soira, you need to come with me to the school."

The Rusalka Village was small enough to know everyone who lived there. There were only over five hundred people who lived in the village. All of them knew each other, and the village was secluded from other communities because they were surrounded by forest and water bodies.

"Master Louvre, is there something wrong?" Her eyebrows furrowed.
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
"Something bad happened in my class, and Devan used too much magic to save everyone. He's currently in the dispensary and unconscious, but Nurse Avria said he is fine. She just wants to talk to you." Master Louvre sighed out of frustration. "If only I was competent enough, this won't happen."
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
Her face became pale. "Let me just have a quick change." She went inside the house and immediately changed into a decent dress made of silk.

She never allowed Devan to use too much energy because his physique was not yet developed and he was still a minor. The queen locked his full potential until he reached eighteen and strong enough to wield his powers.

"I'm done. Let's go, Master Louvre." She used her wind magic to transport them to the school. She floated Master Louvre into the air and made him fly.

"Hey!" Master Louvre screamed. "You didn't tell me we will fly!"

His voice echoed in the whole village. Soira ignored him. She was worried about Devan. No one should have any clue about his real identity.
