The Hard Truth

Philip already back in the pack, was looking everywhere for Bianca,laid eyes on his mother sitting down in her room, with a cup of cappucino on a table across from where she is sitting, as she reads her favorite book, as part of her daily routine. He thought of approaching his mother with what was in his mind, but was in dire need of Bianca's advice, he always depends on her advice whenever he founds himself in an uncertain condition, finally walks reluctantly toward his mother to share the wonderful news that was on his lips. "Mother how are you doing" he stated, in his unsuccessful attempt to initiate a discussion with his Luna. "I've found someone" Philip started saying "you will really like her, Jane is her name" he added, "so soon!" Luna Helen exclaimed, "so your adventure was to find love" Luna added, "Meeting Jane is the work of the goddess", Philip said as he was very eager that he forgot to greet his mother in a proper manner and said as he sits comfortably on his favorite blue couch, looking across trying to explain to his mother how he feel about Jane, " she might be the one" he added, staring at his mother who now looks interested in talking to him about it, "where are your manners Philip" Luna Helen stated as she tries to understand what is going on with her son "am sorry Mother, forgive my manners, am very excited to share this with you" Philip said in an attempt to plead with his mom as he knew he needed her support before bringing this to his father . Philip spent a considerable amount of time telling his mother about Jane, describing her in the best way he can "Well son do not be fast in making conclusions, besides, from what you are telling me it seems Jane is a commoner and you know your father will never accept that" Philip mother and the Luna of Blue Pearl said "we don't know for sure" Philip replied very fast, that he had to apologise for his rudeness. Philip growled quietly and could feel the presence of his wolf Ari, after what his mother just said, he knew he could justify Ari's reaction but his mother would not understand, so he tried to contain him as he was in the presence of the Luna and he had never had an outburst in front of his mother, but Ari was hurt, Philip too,his feelings was hurt, his blood was rushing, heart pumping, he could feel the rage in his body as his eyes start to turn red, all as a result of hearing those words from Luna. "slow your roll" Luna Helen said, "don't take out your anger on me, this is the fact and you know it" she said, "you will have to convince your father and you know Unless Jane is from an alpha family or a family of great affluence, he will never agree to it", "now can we please talk about something else, tell me how have you been, tell me about your adventure so far apart from the love stories" Luna Helen pleaded, Philip agreed to stop talking about Jane, Luna Helen and Philip continued their conversation, with Luna sipping her coffee as they talked, mother and son catching up on each other's lives. Then he bid his mother Luna Helen farewell, Philip tried looking for Bianca for the second time but she still was nowhere to be found, he at the end stopped looking for her as he was sure she was nowhere near. Philip decided to walk his way back to school, as he was on his way, with the night fast approaching, he made a stop at a lake that he was familiar with removed his clothes so as to have a cold bath, the water was very cold, yet felt warm to Philip's body as his heart was burning. He had always chose a cold bath as a way to calm himself down but that was not working today, Philip as he finish bath did not feel the way he wanted, so he knew the only way to feel better was to express his feelings the best way he knew how, that is to transform and let Ari out to express his sadness at the thought of losing Jane. It turns out to be a perfect plan for Philip as he transformed under the moon and wandered through the forest, howling to the top of his voice, expressing his heart while running through the forest, running fast till his legs gave up and still wanting to run even further, filled with emotions, he knew it was time to go back to school as sun was about to rise, in a matter of minutes, Ari was gone and it was Philips as he is still raging from the talk he had with his mother, and the fact that he had not talked to Bianca, though he knew that everything his mother said was true but he was in denial as he seems to be in love, he could not fathom living without her. Philip without a plan of action spends the whole day thinking about his life, how he has always had love for the commoners, how he will live as the alpha, the responsibilities that comes with it, and what it will mean for his family if he choose life with Jane without being the alpha, Philip knew it may come down to choice and whether being together with Jane is worth sacrificing his alpha over, and how that will affect his destiny, that is, to be someone he has planned his whole life towards being. Different Thoughts begins to rush into Philip mind, Philip tries to narrow down his thoughts to the most important one, as he goes through his thoughts with each one seeming like the best, but at the end before he decided, Philip realized that he was already planning life with a girl that does not know how he feels, began to lay out the perfect way to let Jane know how he feels, but before then the most important course of action is to know everything there is to know about Jane, by getting close to her, and to do that without her knowledge. And with that in mind, Philip slept off looking forward to the day he will meet Jane again and kick start his plan. The next day, Philip started his day with a run, as a way to calm his nerves and it was a success because after the run, he now feels different, he has forced his mind to forget about yesterday's meeting with Luna Helen. He realized he had not read this whole week, he was busy thinking about Jane, so he picked his book to read and went straight to the library. The library was quiet and serene and exactly the place Philip was looking for to read, he read for a few minutes and then thoughts of Jane kicked in, like a drug, he has become addicted to Jane. Philip spent his whole day in the library reading and thinking about Jane, with the latter more than the former, he went back to his room to rest and sleep, which he did after thinking about Jane on his bed side. He fell asleep wandering how tomorrow is going to be.
