Chapter 21 – Control
Brandon woke up with a small gag of fright.
The first place his hands flew to was to his aching throat.
The last thing he remembered was feeling a hard hand crushing him....and the Acidic burn of Wards cutting in his blood.
The images faded from his minds eyes....but the pain only grew and grew and grew.
Barely breathing, Brandon shuttered as pain rolled across his entire being.
God...Ive never hurt so bad before.....I think every Alchemist in the Base put a ward on me. Damn, I can't believe I can still do....ANYTHING...after that..
Brandon swallowed. He was really hungry and thirsty, but more than anything else he was fighting to hold down the tears.
