"What, that's not possible." Hearing what Wyatt said, Harper's first reaction was one of surprise and disbelief. Judging by his clothing and demeanor, Wyatt should be someone at the top of his pack, most likely an Alpha. How was it that an abnormal wolf shifter like her could be his mate?
Wyatt seemed surprised by her reaction, but he didn't give up. He leaned closer to her and said, "You don't believe me?"
"You might get things wrong. I can't be your mate," Harper said with a strong insistence. Finding the distance between them a little dangerous, that she could even feel his warm breath on her neck, Harper quietly stepped back a little.
"Why?" asked Wyatt with a frown.
"It's because I am an Omega," Harper replied in a low voice.
