Chapter 2: Adventure awaits

“Get up” Someone hisses. “ Get the f**k up Amira”.

I jump up to find Nathan attempting to shake me awake. “Nate? Whats going on? What time is it?”

“Its 3 am, There is a lot of commotion going on outside and I think we need to make our exit out of this town. “ He replies.

“Where is Tin?” I asked

“She is in the bathroom gathering up whatever we left in there , Hurry up put on some black clothes and we are going to head towards the woods” he said while looking out the blinds of the window.

 I slip into a black long sleeve shirt, leggings and my running shoes. I put my wild hair into a pony tail as best I can. After I turn around I see Nathan was standing behind me the whole time, staring at me. My cheeks heat up from the embarrassment. Nathan had expressed that he had a crush on me when we were younger but my father had never allowed me to date anyone. He always said that it would look inappropriate to my future mate. I did find him attractive though especially since he was what you could describe as tall dark and handsome, He had dark brown almost black hair with blue eyes and tan skin. Tinsley walks in and interrupts this awkward scene and I have never been more grateful for it. As we grab our backpacks and head out the door I smell a faint familiar scent, its not my fathers but definitely some one who belongs to the pack. I look around to see if any one and there is no one around even with my wolf eyes. I assume since we are wearing the wonderful scent hiding items that the other wolf did not catch our scent so they kept on moving. There are about six cars in the parking lot none of them are expensive looking so we decide that it would be best if we just hot wired a car instead taking the woods just in case they headed to the woods to search. Tinsley has a specialty for cars and electronics. She hot wires a blue Altima and we drive off but not before seeing five black SUVs pull into the parking lot of the hotel we were staying at. Around 10 people jump out of the SUV circling the hotel and the last thing I see is some one kicking in the door to the room we were just in. I breath in relief as we get further down the road and  see that no one is following us. Just to be safe we turn off a few different roads to where it would be hard to follow us.

“ Look yall the map says we need to head north for about 100 miles and then head  East, it looks like we might have to take a boat or take the long way around to get to the area Evelynn circled” Nathan says showing us the map.

We pulled in for a food break small town that looks like if you didn’t grow up here you would never know it existed. There aren’t any chains restaurants or shopping centers around here. There are however a lot of churches and a few mom and pop shops. The area is surrounded by woods and looks like a peaceful country side.”

“ I could get use to this place” Tinsley explains” My wolf seems at peace here like she never wants to leave.”

“ I know mine is feeling the same way.” I reply” how about we find a spot to store the car and we let our wolves explore this plush forest?”

Nate and Tinsley both nod in excitement. I think its safe to say we would stay for a few days and take the time to relax. We have only just begun our adventure and have already had to out run our old pack mates to avoid being returned. We pulled up to the gas station and Tinsley makes small talk with the cashier and asks if there is a place around here that would allow us to stay for a few days before we get back on the road. The cashier flashes Tin a smile and says that his grandparents left him a place close to the wood line but its far out of town.

“That’s perfect!” Tinsley exclaims “ How much would it cost for 3 days tops”?

“How about you hang out with me tonight and promise to keep it clean” He tells her with a big grin.

 Tinsley gives him a wide grin and says “ you sir, have just made your self a deal, I’ll make it a night to remember”.

Nathan pretends to throw up while I stare in amazement at my best friend. She has always been more forward than me and she easily can bend any man to her will. Tin walks over to us with a piece of paper that has the address written on it.

“No applause please.” She says while pretending to straighten a crown on her head “you’re queen has come through once again. I am gonna need you two to get lost tonight at least for a few hours”

We drove the address that the clerk gave us and it lead to a gravel driveway that is over shadowed with trees. “This is perfect! Its well hidden and basically in the middle of no where!” I said to my friends

“ We have about 2 hours until Adam gets here for our little date” Tinsley says while wiggling her eyebrows at me and Nathan.

“ Eww Tin, you’re my baby sister can you not put any images in my head” Nate exclaims

“ Hey its not my fault you have your mind in the gutter Nate” Tinsley laughs

“ I do not it’s the way you suggest things” Nate replies while scrunching his face is disgust.

We finally arrive at the house after coming up the long drive way. The house is a one story white cottage looking home, you can tell that some one hasn’t been here in a while due to the grass being tall and the porch looking un kept. The inside of the home looks very homey but needs to have lights to feel alive again.

“ I am going to see if I can find the breaker and flip the lights on” Nate says

Tinsley and I go to sit on the 2 suede couches in the living room. “ Tinsley how do you have no fear when it comes to interacting with men, you just seem so confident!”

“Girl! Its just a mind set, you should know by now that I have flaws and I see them I just don’t let other people know I see them” Tinsley exclaims. “So what are you and my brother going to do while I ‘pay’ our renters fee” she says putting air quotes around the word pay.

“ Do you have to say it like that? It sounds like im pimping you out” I laugh

“ Relax Amira, it’s a joke I would never do something that I don’t want to do” She smiles while winking at me. “But you avoided my question”

Just then the lights come on and Nate walks in “ Nate what do you want to do while Tin has her date” I ask. “ Well while I was outside I heard running water I thought maybe you and I could go explore and see what’s out there” He looks at me hopefully. Which makes Tinsley look at me with a cheesy smile.

We grab a protein bar and get ready to head out to the woods.  Its night time out here but the full moon provides more than enough light. I walk behind a big oak tree to shift into my wolf and Nate does the same we emerge in our wolf forms. Nate is a large brown wolf he looks more beta born than gamma. I listen for the sound of water I pin point it and run in that direction Nate chases me we arrive at the source of the sound to find that it’s a beautiful small water fall surrounded by a meadow with the beautiful flowers. I cant resist it as I walk into the water feeling covered enough I shift back to my human form while Nate sits on the bank in his wolf form. I swim towards the waterfall and allow the water to run over my body I close my eyes and just imagine if the regular woods can hold such beautiful places like this then I can not begin to imagine what the enchanted forest is going to look like. Our old territory didn’t really have anything  like this it was mostly streams, mountains and trees beautiful in its own way but not like this.

I look back to the bank and see that Nathan has disappeared. Then I see him in human form swimming to me. He emerges from the water to where we are face to face his beautiful blue eyes staring deep into mine. He smiles as he tucks a loose strand of hair behind my ear “Hey”. I begin to blush and find it hard to hold this intense gaze. I drop my head only for him to lift my chin and crash his lips into mine. After the initial shock I begin to kiss him back wrapping my arms around his neck our naked bodies pressed against each other. He bites my lower lip requesting entrance into my mouth I grant him access and our tongues wage war against each other. I feel his member grow hard and press against my entrance. I moan as he starts to rub my c**t with his d**k. I pull away from him

“Nate I don’t think Im ready for this” but he pulls me close “mmmhm but you feel ready” He is right I am ready, I want to do this but it feels so wrong. Its always been engrained into my head that this is something I should share with my mate, but hes making it so hard to stick to that.

“But we aren’t mates” I managed to say while he was kissing down the side of my neck grazing his canines along the spot where my mark would be.

“But we could be chosen mates” He responds huskily. “ Would you really give up your mate designed by the moon goddess specifically for you, just to be with me” I ask. “Amira” he says before planting a soft kiss on my lips “ you know I’ve always cared for you, I always figured that we would be mates. You have no idea how disappointed I was when we both came of age and nothing changed.”

“Maybe in time but I am not ready for such a big commitment.” I said “ I have always dreamed of finding the enchanted forest and exploring, I love the fact that I have my best friends beside me to do this too”

Nathan lowers his head, I know I just hurt him friend zoning him like that especially after that steamy session. “ You think Tin is done?” He asked the disappointment written all over his face. “Nathan, don’t look like that lets enjoy this adventure together and maybe we can see where it goes” I say “besides we’re bound to run into other packs along the way what would happen if you ran into your mate there”

“I would reject her” He states firmly.

My jaw drops “ Really Nate? How can you not even give her a chance?”

“ I know where my heart lies Amira” He responds “ What if  you run into yours?”

“ I would run Mate or not I want to at the very least have my adventure, even if its only one” I say “ I refuse to tell my children that I never did anything but birth pups and live in a pack.”

With that Nate smiles and we shift back to our wolves shaking off the water before we begin our run back to the cottage. We walk in to find Tinsley asleep naked I might add on the couch with her date. “ Amira I have no expectations but can I sleep in the bed with you tonight?”  Nate asks sounding hopeful. We’ve slept in the same bed before but usually Tinsley is with us and she sleeps in the middle. “ I guess you can” I respond but I have a feeling it sounded a bit too unsure for his liking. But we did end up laying down in the same bed. I start to drift off when I feel arms wrap around my waist and pull me close. “ Lets leave out tomorrow and go to this forest.” He whispered. I yawn and nod in agreement before falling asleep.
