Chapter 22

290 Words
Chapter Twenty-Two I’m not surprised that Enzo has taken a shine to her. Chloé is striking, breathtaking in the truest sense of the word, but it’s not just her beauty that separates her from other women. It’s the way you feel when your gaze meets hers, like you’ve been shoved from the roof of a very tall building and instead of freefalling toward the hard ground below, it’s like you have just grown wings and are flying toward infinity. It feels as though she holds your soul in the palm of her hand when her focus is on you, and it’s a strange, unsettling sensation that leaves you raw and energized at the same time. But I am surprised he didn’t tell me they had met—and f****d, if I am not mistaken—before today. Sharing means participate in something together with someone else and share this experience, and, at the same time having tacit consent to be with the other person’s partner, as part of a trust relationship. Even kinky s*x and multiple partners scenarios require consent and a building of trust. But I know Enzo has difficulties explaining himself—both opening up and talking about his issues—and it goes without saying he has never known how to deal with trust. Yet, I also know he has a soul of gold and he would never do anything to hurt me. He might be a bit thwarted in the women department, but if he thought I would be opposed to sharing Chloé with him, I am certain he would not have done it. I feel my lips open in a smile as I go in search of Angelo. Chloé being adventurous and all, we might be just the perfect combination the Di Luca family is in need of.
