Desmond's POV Raine's mother sent her something that made all the tension that had left her return ten times over. I had no idea what it was, and I was curious as hell. She looked scared and confused as if whatever was sent was capable of ruining her life. I wanted to help her. I wanted to protect her. If only she would let me.
