Logan groaned, shifting slightly in his sleep. He hastily sat up, banging his head against the rock which served as his cover. "Dammit!" He cursed, massaging his temples and then pulling his fingers through his wet, crispy hair, his lips were parched from dehydration but overall, he felt well rested. He could tell hours had passed since he fell asleep, the mild headache was a sign of that. By the direction of the sun, he could tell that it was past noon. "Drats!" He cursed when it dawned on him that the woman was gone. He had so many things to ask her. 'How was she alive?' No ordinary person would survive a fall like that, especially not with a boulder attached to their feet and the ocean a few meters below. There shouldn't have been any way for her to survive—unless someone had saved
