Logan stood at the bottom of the stairs, his eyes fixed on the grand portrait of Leonardo's ancestors hanging on the wall. The longer he stayed within the walls of the vampire castle, the more questions continued to weigh on his mind. "Leo, it's time to leave," he called out, his voice firm but laden with unspoken urgency. Upstairs, Leonardo snapped out of his reverie, the image of his mother through the pendant still vivid in his mind. He nodded to himself, clenching the pendant tightly before clasping its lock around his neck. The vampire king descended the stairs with slow, purposeful strides, lifting his chin arrogantly to avoid any pity from the wolfman. His mother was killed by his sister and his father had died a coward. 'He should have died trying to stop her.' Leonardo frowned.
