Misty's eyes widened in shock at Leonardo's blunt command. She stared at him, the bag of dried meat trembling in her hands. Laura stepped forward, her heart aching for the little girl. "What do you mean, Leo?" she said, protectively outstretched a hand to block his path from the girl. "She's just a child. She shouldn't have to bear such a haunting burden." Leonardo, however, had a different approach. His eyes, sharp and unyielding, watched the little child intently.
