A Phone Call

Beatrice I’m not sure how long I was left alone. I don’t have any way to check the time or to even see if it’s still daylight outside. I’m not even sure how long I was asleep before I woke up. I know I’m hungry, but I’m scared to eat the sandwich Amanda brought me. What if it had poison or something? I know she said she didn’t want to hurt me yet, but that was still so vague. Then again if she wanted to poison me she would’ve done it when I was knocked out.  I’m still on the floor trying to figure out what to do. My stomach grumbles again, and I decide I’ll take my chances with the sandwich. I slowly stand up, making sure to be careful with my injured foot. Then I sit on the bed, and grab the sandwich. It’s a simple ham and cheese. I take a small cautious bite, and everything seems fine
