TRICIA'S POV: "So??" Molly said greeting me at the diner entrance. "So what Molly?" "SO, who was he?" Molly said emphasizing the *he* part. "No one," I said shaking my head. "Mhmm, that was surely someone, if you were eavesdropping on his phone call," she smirked back at me. "MOLLY!"  *sigh*  "You saw that?" I said turning to face her while putting my jacket on the coat hanger. "Yep, I sure did." "LADIES!! The customers aren't gonna feed themselves, GET TO IT!" our obnoxious boss shouted.  "We're coming!" "Come on Molly," I declared walking off. "But I wanna know!!" "Just because your my best friend doesn't mean you need to know everything." "It does SO!" "Fine, I'll tell you later." "AYYYYY!!" Sometimes, I really think she acts like a kid inside. --- "Do you want a ride?" "I'm good Molly, thanks." *Ring, Ring* "Who is it?"  "Hold on," pulling out my flashing phone, as I put up a finger. 'Hello.' 'Uh- Hola,' the voice said. 'Hi, who's this?' 'My name is Marissa Parker, I was looking for my son, Calvin?' "Who's the woman on the phone?" Molly whispered. "Calvin's mother I think," I whispered back quietly.  'Oh- Hi Marissa, I'm Tricia. I actually spoke to your son not long after he borrowed my phone this morning.' 'Well have you SEEN him!?' Her tone had a funny demeanor, I really didn't appreciate being yelled at. 'No. He took off shortly after he finished using my phone. But I don't appreciate your tone towards me.' 'I'm sorry. I'm just worried, I haven't heard from him in a while.' 'Well, I'm sorry you're worried, I can actually help you look for him, I just got off of work.  I remembered, 'I think he left something of his.' 'Oh, I had no idea, thanks for letting me know.' She whispered ever so lightly, 'That little boy he always forgets things' I tried not to chuckle as I turned my laughing head away from the phone to let out a snicker.  'No problem, We'll find him, don't worry.' 'Ok, please call this number if you hear anything.' 'Will Do!' Just like that the call ended, I had no preparation for what was coming next.  --- I made an executive decision to start a 'Search Party' for Calvin. Molly wanted to tag along, and I really couldn't make her back out of it.  We honestly had no idea who he was, and where he could be, but it didn't stop us. "I'm really getting worried," Molly commented on our 'Search for Calvin' drive. "GIRL- you don't even know him." "SOOOO! It doesn't stop me from being worried about a cute boy" "Yeah right, I'm sure he's fine." "I just honestly have no idea where to look." We came across an old bus stop a couple of miles near the grocery store opposite where we work.  "WAIT!"  "STOP THE CAR!" "Dang okay, Tricia." I got down from Molly's car to find an oddly familiar jacket, it honestly looked like an exact replica of the jacket Calvin was wearing when he asked me for a phone. "WHAT IS THAT!?" Molly yelled from the running car. "I think this is his jacket." "I know you believe in all these signs, Tric. But come on, that really could be anyone's jacket, probably a homeless person's jacket," she replied. "No. It's his. I recognize the print and stichting." Did I really just say that, I'm starting to sound like a freaking teen stalker from those rom-com movies. "I know you did not just say that." Molly snorted out. "Shut up, the stitches are noticeable look," I announced while showing her Calvin's supposed jacket. "Mhmm, of course, you would think that." *Ring, Ring* "Who is it now?" Molly questioned. "I don't know, hold on." "Put it on speaker!" she whispered loudly. 'Hell-o?' 'Hello, yes, Hi Tricia it's Marissa, I just got a call from Hertz Hospital, on 97th street.' 'And?' 'They ss-aid Calvin passed out near a-' "A bus stop? You mean this bus stop??" Molly yelled. 'Bus stop!'  Calvin's mom said while her tears were forming over the phone. "Yeah," I whispered while holding the speaker over the phone. "Now shut up!" I yelled quietly back to Molly. "Okay, Dang." 'Hell-o? Tricia are you still there?' 'Yes, yes I'm here.' 'Okay, I will meet you there, yeah okay bye.' "What happened, where are we going??" Molly said while trying to keep up with my walking pace. "We're taking a detour to Hertz Hospital." "Give me the keys Molly!" "Why??" "Ugh!" I walked around the car to steal the keys out of her hands. "Cuz, you drive like a GRANDMA!" I yelled back at her shaking the keys in her face. "Well, I'M SORRY, at least I OBEY THE SPEED LIMIT." "Just shut up and get in, jeez." Diary Entry #2 You guys have no idea how much I appreciate your comments, and gestures towards my book.
