Chapter 13At the large metal gate we find four guards fully dressed in their uniforms and with guns. They look unbothered by our presence. One of them is a lady who looks like she's in her mid thirties, her facial expression shows that she's probably tired of life or her job. Or even both.
Lazily she starts to speak right after removing a toothpick from her mouth.
"Identification please," her voice comes out rough. We show her our ID's and she takes them, placing the toothpick back in her mouth.
"Let them through," she yells at the guard with the keys to the gate and spits saliva on the ground. We head to the next gate which is much bigger. How many gates do they have here anyway?
