Chapter 05 - Zinon

1840 Words
“Shut your mouth. You’re not being roasted.” A kick on his belly made him curl. Spits that came from his deepest gut splattered on the floor. How could this be?! A human had easily thrown him off?! He tried to crawl away from the beast but a hand had grabbed his collar. He was turned over. He saw the eyes of a murderer in the shadow of that cap. His whole being shriveled like a rotten tomato, his body had trembled. That freaking courage earlier had deserted him. Jay saw that the fuckin’ coward had pissed his pants. His face crinkled in disgust. Great! Who’s the one going to clean this mess?! His coworkers were unreliable as their boss. With a jerk, he started to drag the man on the floor out of the room. The man seemed to come to life again as he began to thrash, trying to escape his hold. A shriek belonging to that of a pig being butchered echoed in the small hallway. Fortunately, it was drowned out by the heavy music blasting throughout the whole place. But, Jay’s ears were not spared, and he could not stop himself from landing another blow. A visible tremor ran down the man’s body and, with a weak whimper, he quieted down. But his hold on Jay’s arm for his dear life remains. He hauled him to stand up. He underestimated this scum’s weight. “ Walk to the f*****g exit if you still want your legs.” The scum could not look at him but still nodded meekly. Jay nodded to the exit door. One short round man and a dangerous rabid dog that watches the other like a predator to its prey. The former could barely step due to the pain from the successive kicks he had received. However, with those eyes drilling into the back of his head, he gritted his teeth and dragged his feet to the direction the beast behind him was pointing. Jay knew what he was doing for the boss could be dangerous and might disturb a hornet’s nest that could come and sting him to death. His skills at detecting who to avoid and the ones that he can bully to their last breath were taught by Tony. That uncle of his had lived a life full of arrogance and cowardice. He beats those he can beat and licks the shoes of those who can stomp him with his foot. Though Jay never cowers to anyone yet, Tony’s skills at reading a person were installed in him. And he was lucky, that those who came for trouble in the club were either amateurs, one-time scammers trying their luck, or a small group of hooligans that tremble when the laws came in between. This scum was no different. Jay could tell he was lying. No scum had come into the club alone. That would be a moronic move. He just needed to scare and break a bone or two for this scum to turn his tail and never come back here. Once the exit door was opened, Jay raised his foot and unceremoniously kicked the ass in front of him out of the building. The man stumbled forward. His face almost kissed the hard and dirtied pavement of the back alley if he didn’t support his body with his arms on time. Jay watched him crawl and heard him curse under his breath. He crossed his arms as he stood by the door. “Scram!” Now that he was out of the devil’s clutch, the man scrambled to get up. His pitiable nerves returned. With a shaking finger, he pointed at Jay. “Damn dog! You don’t know what you’re getting into! I’ll tell my boss about this and you all will be crawling in no time!” Jay watched with disinterest at the scum spewing profanities and hurling threats at him. All while his body was positioned to be ready to bolt anytime, Jay decided to chase him. What boss has this scum been spouting about ever since earlier? Jay never heard of anyone claiming this area as theirs. Only an i***t that knows no tiger would send a rabbit here. He snorted and turned to close the door. If he had waited for another second before taking his eyes away from the man, he might have seen his change of expression. From rage, the man’s droopy eyes had widened in horror. His sight was focused on something looming inside the club. Jay no longer cared about him and had secured the lock of the door. In the dimly lit area of the back exit, his body became rigid. A waft of familiar scent floated under his nose. A scent that even in his dreams had haunted him. His heartbeat had accelerated, the small space between was surrounded by that musk scent. He whipped his head and a f*****g ghost stood before him. He cursed out of his breath. “The hell are you doing there?!” A man in a white shirt with its three buttons open was facing him. Under the dim flickering lights above them, his eyes traveled from that peeking chest going upward to the man’s long neck and… s**t. On an impulse, Jay raised his fist to the man’s face but was stopped by a deathly grip on his wrist. He swung his other arm and was caught again. His face contorted to an ugly expression. “Fuckin creep, you followed me here?” It wasn’t his imagination, this creep had really stalked him! He should have broken his legs when he got the chance! His stalker remained silent as he looked down on him. His thin lips were tightly pursed and his familiar amber eyes had a look of disgust in them. Jay laughed darkly. A fuckin molester had the guts to be disgusted! Really a fuckin psycho! Jay did not back down and stared squarely at him. Only to realize his awkward position. While the bastard only had to tilt his head down, Jay had to crane his neck to meet his eyes. With his hands still being held, he tried to land a kick on the psycho’s knee. His foot had just left the ground when a dangerous glint crossed the other’s eyes. It merely took a second before he felt his left hand get twisted and his body was pushed around. A loud thud was heard in the small hallway. The round man outside flinched when he heard that. He did not know if he would laugh at the dog’s unfortunate fate or cry because he would be dead meat if that man found him. However, in the end, he decided to flee the scene. Inside, the right side of Jay’s face was being pressed by a large hand to the cold surface of the door. Both of his arms were on his back, held by another arm. A strong leg snaked its way in between his thighs, preventing him from moving. “Keep still.” A deep voice whispered behind his ear. Jay could not move with the force the bastard was exerting on his body. He could only grit his teeth and wait for the right opportunity to escape from his clutches. “That’s it. Be a good boy.” A chill crawled up all over Jay’s body as something soft and warm touched the side of his neck. Fuck! The creep was sniffing him like a f*****g horny dog! This fucker is dead! Jay thrashed his body hard to shake the bastard off him. He thought he had succeeded when he felt the man’s hold on him had loosened only to get slammed again on the surface of the door. Jay’s eyes twitched not in pain but in his rising rage. He could not believe he had been overpowered by the same person he had beaten up just a week ago! What drugs had this bastard taken to get that much strength? “A human, no doubt” he heard the bastard say without emotion. “A f*****g weak human.” What’s he on about now? This psycho! The large that had held his head in place went to his neck as if wanting to strangle him. “It’s better to cut off the thread at the beginning. I refuse to mate with a human.” Jay let the man mumble some crazy things to himself and take the opportunity while he was distracted with his nonsense. Jay swiftly angled his mouth towards the hand that was on his neck. “I, Zinon -!” “Motherf-!” Jay had only heard the unfinished curse words as his canine clamped hard on the skin below the bastard’s thumb. He did not let go until the man’s body had left his, drawing blood on that smooth skin. He could taste the metallic flavor in his mouth and it made him bite harder. “Let go!” The man’s voice, from being cold and emotionless, had become commanding. Jay felt a tremor run through him. He’s not a person who bends to anyone, but this bastard had been getting on his nerves since that f*****g day. His hair all stood up. The feeling of defying and making the bastard submit to him was screaming from the very depths of him. A fist came to smash his head. Jay let go of the hand and ducked in time to avoid the attack. His body came free from the bastard. He then let loose an upper of the man’s jaw. Zinon stumbled a few steps away from him. A throbbing pain came from his chin. He had seen that attack and had hesitated whether to let go and avoid it. He had not wanted to let the man escape from him. However, in the end, his moment of indecisiveness had caused his jaw to almost break if he had not stepped a little backward. He touched his injury and cursed out loud. The wounds that he received just a week ago had just healed and now his face had been damaged again. All from the same person. He raised his head to watch him. The desire to conquer the man in front of him had grown stronger. He wanted to make him kneel and obey his every f*****g word. Especially that time when he gets bitten on his hand. He did not flinch in pain, but a sick pleasure traveled to every part of his body. But in the end, he did not let his instinct get the better of him. He did not believe in a fated pair and refused to be a part of that children’s fantasy. What he needed was power and a Luna that could both satisfy him and the pack. A human for a mate won’t bring benefits to him. A weak human would only be a burden to all of them. He had to end this laughable fate before anyone could discover this human.
